1. Former Pakistan Test Cricketer Mudassar Nazar arrived here at Lahore from London to take up his job as the coach of the National Cricket Academy that has been constituted in the city to ensure promotion of cricket and the cricketing talent. He met the Chairman PCB and Director of the Pakistan Cricket Board and discussed the job description and other modalities. Mudassar starts his assignment immediately.

2. The committee comprising of Abdul Qadir, Mohsin Kamal and Ejaz Fakih has cleared Pakistan's all-rounder Shahid Afridi's bowling action that was questioned during the series against England. The experts found no problem with the leg spinner's bowling action and cleared him.

3. Pakistan Cricket Board has made a breakthrough in the field of cricket analysis. Within a short period a data base and graphic oriented analytical software has been formulated for the evaluation of cricketing skills. It is comprehensive and the software includes the facility to record ball-to-ball analysis and determines the site of strokes played, bowlers' length and variation and also enables to contemplate graphical representations. This software has the capacity to deduce inferences by data feeding and can also graphically show the formulation of strategies against each team.

3-D visual effects of the length, direction and environmental and wind effects action on the ball can also be shown. This software was successfully tested during the match between Lahore Panthers and Pakistan Probables.

PCB has acquired latest equipment that includes hi-tech computers and exclusive software to take Cricket Analysis as the nerve root of the game. Apart from evolving a viable and an exclusive software, Pakistan's tour to New Zealand was kept in perspective and minutest details about the statistics and oppositions strength including the bowling, batting, fielding combinations and psychological indices have been determined to prepare Pakistan Cricket team comprehensively ahead of the series.

Visual evidences, visual evaluation and graphic formation have already been completed considering the Pakistan and the New Zealand teams.

Detailed study of the grounds, weather condition, each players' performances include innings by innings, over by over and match by match results has been done. This is the first step towards making PCB compatible and at par with the teams already using such software.
