LCCA Ground being upgraded

The work on the upgradition and renovation of the LCCA Cricket Ground by PCB, under the Vision - 2005, "is underway at a brisk pace and is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, 2002.

PCB is incurring an expenditures of over Rs. 3 million on the above project which includes renovation of the club pavilion, construction of umpires room and various facilities, complete re-laying of the cricket ground, installation of a tube-well, and an iron fence around the field and complete re-designing of the entire ground within the stipulated time. Most of the above work, except the on-going re-laying of pitches and the ground, has already been completed by the PCB, a PCB spokesman said here on Wednesday.
