The training camp for the Australia bound Pakistan squad commenced at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore on a Wednesday.
PCB had already announced 14-member squad and officials for the team, which will depart for Australia on June 4, 2002, to compete in the Super Challenge Tournament.
Despite the heavy overnight rain PCB groundsmen had worked hard to prepare the Gaddafi Stadium fit for the training and the net practice.
The trainees had a round of physical training in the morning session and were scheduled to have net practice in the second afternoon session.
Except for few players Waqar Younis, Wasim Akram, Shoaib Akhtar and Shahid Afridi, who had gone abroad and could not arrive due to non-availability of flights the rest reported on time to commence the training on schedule. The above players are expected to arrive tonight. The camp is likely to be at full strength shortly, with the arrival of players who could not join due to missed flight connections.
