Injured Razzaq doubtful for Bangladesh tour

Abdul Razzaq, the Pakistan allrounder, is in doubt for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh after sustaining a right shoulder injury during the third ODI against Sri Lanka in Dubai on November 18.
He will be returning home and will take no further part in the rest of the series, which includes the fifth and final ODI on Wednesday and the Twenty20 on Friday. He has been advised ten days' rest, followed by rehabilitation. No replacement has been named.
"Considering his injury, the doctor has adviced him 10 days' rest," Naushad Ali told ESPNcricinfo. "He will be departing for Lahore on Wednesday where he will undergo further treatment. He is not available for the remaining matches to be played here against Sri Lanka. I don't know about his availability for the Bangladesh series but we aren't calling up any replacement while we are here."
Razzaq batted at No.3 on Friday but struggled to justify his promotion, making 6 off 16 balls. He bowled four overs for 18 runs and didn't take a wicket during Pakistan's win, and was replaced by Shoaib Malik for the next ODI in Sharjah. Razzaq's injury came to light during that match, which was also won by Pakistan, giving them the series 3-1 with a game to play.
Pakistan begin their tour of Bangladesh with a Twenty20 international on November 29, followed by three ODIs and two Tests.

For me Abdul Razaq is the best allrounder playing in Pakistan team at the moment. His per match wickets are more than afridi, his batting average is much more than afridi too. He is not being utilized properly. He never disappoints with his bowling but even then is not bowled more than 4 to 5 overs a match. He is sent in to bat mostly in slog overs. Those who oppose his inclusion by mentioning his decreased bowling speed, need to answer that how Razaq's 130 kph is slow when you tend to play Sohail Tanveer with 125 kph.
Posted byAbdur Razzaq is an exceptional and an amazing cricketer. If he remains injury free he can give a few more excellent years to provided. Unfortunately because of politics he was never properly utilized. Shoaib Malik was Abdur Razzaq's replacement in the ODIs in Dubai, what a horrible replacement that was. Shoaib is a good player but right now he is rusty and shaky. His only fame these days seem to be his marriage to Sania Mirza. Drop these non performers and replace them with younger, better players.

Posted byThere is a lot of cricket left in Abdul Razzaq and he is best suited for ODI & T20 until & unless he is fit & performing. In my opinion he should be promoted up the order to bat in the Power Play overs and thats the best use of him as a batter. Along side him Hammad Azam should be given handsome opportunities as he is best suited to replace Abdul Razzaq as an All Rounder who can hit the ball really hard and over, i guess he is the future of Pakistan Cricket's Power Play.

Posted byBoys it takes ages to make a player of Razaq's caliber, don't count him out yet. He is true match winner he must be back. In the meantime we have a great replacement in shape of Hamad Azam super talented as well.
