Pakistan's centrally contracted players will now get a 25% hike in their monthly retainers, the PCB announced on Wednesday. This is in addition to hikes of 25% in Test match fee and 10% for ODIs.

However, the board is yet to finalise the list of contracted players in all categories. The list will be released after the conclusion of the ongoing camp at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The revised salaries come into effect from January 1, 2014. The PCB will also release up to 50% of the players' remunerations for those who have represented Pakistan in international matches since January 2014.

The system of bonuses has also been revised to incentivise outstanding individual performances and series wins.

they are already well paid i think pcb should start paying more to domestic players so they can focus more on cricket...

Excellent move by PCB. Players have been unable to play in IPL or even in Pakistan. So this move by PCB is really good. Very happy for all the players. Hoping for the best in the future for Pakistan cricket inshallah.

It's been great for Pakistani players as they are also not participating in t20 leagues much.,

good thing. these guys should be given an increment. but the important thing is categories in which players will be. should be justified and deserving players should get based on performance not names. the group at training camp is not that attractive.question marks on many players. so selection needs some improvements.
