Zimbabwe in Pakistan ODI Series - 4th ODI

Pakistan v Zimbabwe

Pakistan won by 7 wickets (with 18 balls remaining)

3.4

Kamran Hussain to Sibanda, OUT, Gone! Sibanda is trapped in front. Again. It landed on a length, on the middle and straightened. Sibanda had again plonked his front foot too much across and tried to bring his bat around the front pad. Too late. Trapped!

V Sibanda lbw b Kamran Hussain 3 (16m 12b 0x4 0x6) SR: 25.00

Zimbabwe 7/1   H Masakadza 2* (10b)   Kamran Hussain 1.4-0-2-1

5.1

Kamran Hussain to Masakadza, OUT, Kamran Hussain has done it again! He might not have that much pace but has that lovely ability to bring the ball back in to the right-handers. This one curved in from the middle stump line and Zimbabwe's stand-in captain was caught in front of the stumps. It hit him just above the knee roll and the batsman was on the front foot but it looked out, if you know what I mean.

H Masakadza lbw b Kamran Hussain 2 (28m 11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 18.18

Zimbabwe 12/2   SC Williams 1* (8b)   Kamran Hussain 2.1-0-3-2

21.5

Shoaib Malik to Williams, OUT, soft dismissal. Beaten in the flight. He flighted it a bit more than usual, on the middle stump, Williams was late in deciding to drive and ended up tapping it lamely back to the bowler.

SC Williams c & b Shoaib Malik 48 (88m 56b 4x4 1x6) SR: 85.71

Zimbabwe 97/3   T Taibu 35* (52b 4x4)   Shoaib Malik 1.5-0-5-1

23.4

Shoaib Malik to Taylor, OUT, another lbw. It spun in from just outside off stump, Taylor went back and missed an intended flick to the leg side. It would have hit the leg stump. Zimbabwe are beginning to lose their way. Done in by the spinners.

BRM Taylor lbw b Shoaib Malik 7 (8m 6b 1x4 0x6) SR: 116.66

Zimbabwe 109/4   T Taibu 40* (57b 4x4)   Shoaib Malik 2.4-0-9-2

29.6

Shoaib Malik to Taibu, OUT, another c&b for Malik! Again he tossed it up a bit more than normal, full and outside off stump and Taibu lured by the flight, tried to thrash it down the ground but ended up hitting it uppishly to the left of Malik who pouches it safely

T Taibu c & b Shoaib Malik 51 (101m 76b 4x4 0x6) SR: 67.10

Zimbabwe 132/5   CJ Chibhabha 12* (19b)   Shoaib Malik 6-0-21-3

39.3

Shahid Afridi to Chibhabha, OUT, 89.6 kmph quick slider cleans him up. Caught Chibhabha completely by surprise. It landed on a length and by the time he tried to bring the bat down, the ball had whistled through straight and crashed into the middle stump. Afridi,. as his wont, points his index finger to the skies. Even Ashoka de Silva can't supress a smile.

CJ Chibhabha b Shahid Afridi 30 (44m 44b 0x4 0x6) SR: 68.18

Zimbabwe 173/6   E Chigumbura 23* (32b 1x4)   Shahid Afridi 5.3-0-36-1

40.2

Fawad Alam to Chigumbura, OUT, Stumped! It was full and well outside off stump, Chigumbura tried to whip it across the line, missed and fell over in the process. Sarfraz was quick to whip off the bails.

E Chigumbura st †Sarfraz Ahmed b Fawad Alam 24 (32m 36b 1x4 0x6) SR: 66.66

Zimbabwe 175/7   KM Dabengwa 1* (1b)   Fawad Alam 9.2-0-39-1

45.5

Shahid Afridi to Dabengwa, OUT, Confusion and he is gone. It was whipped to left of midwicket where Malik fumbles a touch before recovering quickly to throw at the non-striker's end. Afridi gathered and was a touch late in breaking the stumps. The on-field umpire gave it out. The replays - at least one angle- seemed to suggest that the bat was dragged inside the crease before the bails came off. Hmm... And Afridi was pretty late, he collected the ball, moved his hands towards the stumps and stopped! He then proceeded to hit the stumps ...

GB Brent run out 14 (18m 15b 1x4 0x6) SR: 93.33

Zimbabwe 205/8   KM Dabengwa 16* (19b 1x4)   Shahid Afridi 8.5-0-52-1

48.3

Sohail Khan to Price, OUT, Ah! here comes the yorker. It is full, fast and swings in late. The bat is late in coming down and the off stump is pegged back. Never mind the speed gun that showed it as 112 kmph, surely you must be kidding me? Peach of a yorker. Keeping up with the great Pakistan tradition. Not a bad way to pick up your first wicket.

RW Price b Sohail Khan 7 (13m 9b 0x4 0x6) SR: 77.77

Zimbabwe 225/9   KM Dabengwa 26* (27b 2x4)   Sohail Khan 6.3-0-38-1

49.5

Shoaib Malik to Dabengwa, 1 run, OUT, comes down the track, swings towards long leg where Sohail Khan fields and fires in an accurate throw to the 'keeper who does the last rites. Great show by Debengwa, though. This is the first time this series that Pakistan have dismissed Zimbabwe.

KM Dabengwa run out 45 (43m 32b 3x4 2x6) SR: 140.62

Zimbabwe 244/10   CB Mpofu 0* (3b)   Shoaib Malik 9.5-0-55-3
