Zimbabwe in Pakistan ODI Series - 5th ODI

Pakistan v Zimbabwe

Pakistan won by 7 wickets (with 114 balls remaining)

5.5

Abdur Rauf to Masakadza, OUT, What a catch to get your first wicket! Don't trust your fielders, take it yourself, says Rauf. Full in length, on the off stump and is driven low to him and Rauf picks it off his shoe laces in one fluent motion.

H Masakadza c & b Abdur Rauf 5 (31m 13b 0x4 0x6) SR: 38.46

Zimbabwe 23/1   V Sibanda 11* (23b 1x4)   Abdur Rauf 2.5-0-14-1

10.3

Sohail Tanvir to Sibanda, 1 run, OUT, Run out by Rizwan from long leg. It was on the pads, clipped past square leg and they tried to push for the second run. Rizwan moved swiftly to his right, swooped and fired in flat and accurate throw. Sarfraz does the rest. Gone!

V Sibanda run out 18 (55m 36b 2x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

Zimbabwe 35/2   SC Williams 4* (16b)   Sohail Tanvir 5.3-1-16-0

13.3

Wahab Riaz to Taibu, OUT, Wow! Stunning catch at covers. That man Rizwan again. It was poor delivery - short and wide- and Taibu slashed it in the air but Rizwan took off in the air, left hand outstretched and was parallel to the ground when he took it. Watch it in the Youtube. T Taibu c Rizwan Ahmed b Wahab Riaz 6 (16m 11b 0x4 0x6) SR: 54.54

Zimbabwe 48/3   SC Williams 8* (24b 1x4)   Wahab Riaz 0.3-0-0-1

17.4

Wahab Riaz to Williams, OUT, Williams could have a misty eye now. He has top-edged a pull shot. It was the short one from Riaz - who has shown a penchant to send that delivery now and then - and Williams' pull went awry. Caught at long-leg. Zimbabwe slid further.

SC Williams c Khurram Manzoor b Wahab Riaz 19 (61m 42b 3x4 0x6) SR: 45.23

Zimbabwe 64/4   BRM Taylor 4* (7b)   Wahab Riaz 2.4-1-9-2

18.4

Shoaib Malik to Chibhabha, OUT, trapped by a quicker one! That one really zipped through. It landed on a length and seamed on straight, Chibhabha was caught completely by surprise and the ball evaded the intended jab and struck him high on the pad. He was on the back foot but the ball looked high. Zaheer Abbas, on air, reckons it would have gone over.

CJ Chibhabha lbw b Shoaib Malik 1 (5m 2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

Zimbabwe 67/5   BRM Taylor 5* (11b)   Shoaib Malik 2.4-0-10-1

38.6

Fawad Alam to Chigumbura, OUT, And it's really bahut aala (very nice) from both the bowler and the 'keeper. Fawad slowed it up, tossed it up a little more, drew the batsman forward before turning it past the bat and Sarfraz did the rest. A useful partnership of 85 runs comes to an end.

E Chigumbura st †Sarfraz Ahmed b Fawad Alam 34 (73m 58b 2x4 0x6) SR: 58.62

Zimbabwe 151/6   BRM Taylor 48* (76b 5x4)   Fawad Alam 5-0-18-1

39.3

Shoaib Malik to Taylor, OUT, Big turn to terminate Taylor's resistance. It pithched a foot outside off stump, Taylor went back and was surprised by the sharp turn that saw the ball rush through his bat and pad. Timber! Just before Malik started his run-up, Sarfraz had chirped, "No 7 No 7 boys"

BRM Taylor b Shoaib Malik 49 (104m 78b 5x4 0x6) SR: 62.82

Zimbabwe 153/7   KM Dabengwa 1* (1b)   Shoaib Malik 8.3-1-29-2

41.1

Shoaib Malik to Brent, OUT, And then there were two. Mis understanding and a run out. He leaned forward and tapped a ball close on the off side. Yes and no and yes and by that time, Sarfraz had rushed after the ball, thrown his right glove, lunged at the ball and he fired in a throw to Malik.

GB Brent run out 4 (6m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 80.00

Zimbabwe 159/8   KM Dabengwa 3* (6b)   Shoaib Malik 9.1-1-31-2

45.3

Abdur Rauf to Price, OUT, yorked! Around 130 kmph, full and straight at the off stump, hint of late movement in and Price has a stab and a miss.

RW Price b Abdur Rauf 7 (17m 14b 1x4 0x6) SR: 50.00

Zimbabwe 181/9   KM Dabengwa 16* (20b)   Abdur Rauf 8.3-0-45-2

45.4

Abdur Rauf to Mpofu, OUT, Yorked again! Raufed up! This one swung in a bit more than the previous delivery and went past the jab to crash into the off stump. In a nice gesture, the Pakistani fielders ask Wahab Riaz and Rauf to lead them back to the pavilion.

CB Mpofu b Abdur Rauf 0 (1m 1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Zimbabwe 181/10   KM Dabengwa 16* (20b)   Abdur Rauf 8.4-0-45-3
