National Bank 228 (Riaz 77, Zohaib 3-62) beat Pakistan Television 142 (Nawaz 55, Azam 3-12) by 86 runs
Put in to bat, National Bank lost Kamran Akmal in the second over and continued losing regular wickets to slump to 125 for 7 in the 28th over. Zohaib Ahmed picked up the first two wickets before Nasir Jamshed was run out for 24. Sohaib Maqsood and Fawad Alam were dismissed within two overs of each other, both falling to Nawaz Ahmed.
Riaz, however, led a counterattack by smashing 77 off just 67 balls with six fours and four sixes, and added 87 for the eighth wicket with Raza Hasan, who contributed only 23, to take the team to 228.
PTV, in reply, lost wickets right from the start and barring a 55 from Nawaz Ahmed, none of the other batsmen could make more than 27, as Hammad Azam and Hasan picked up three wickets each to bundle the team out for 142 inside 40 overs.
