Dr William Scott played in three matches for Middlesex in 1894 and 1895, but made only 12 runs in five innings. For the second eleven of the county, however, he did better, scoring 56 v. Kent 2nd XI at Lord's in 1894 and 68 in the corresponding match of the following year. He had played successfully for Kensington Park, MCC, Incogniti, and Windsor Home Park, his best performance being an innings of 107 for MCC v. Warwickshire at Lord's in 1895.
