Saurashtra's middle and lower order failed to capitalise on the start given by the top four batsmen and conceded three points to Madhya Pradesh. Saurashtra were all out for 492 even though they were 362 for 3 at the start of the day. MP are still second from bottom in Group B while Saurashtra are fifth.

Sagar Jogiyani and Jaydev Shah resumed on 137 and 19, still behind MP's score by 257. Shah fell for 21 in the second over of the day to Ishwar Pandey. Jogiyani and Aarpit Vasavada kept them on track with a stand of 53 and took them past 400. But Vasavada was dismissed for 35 by offspinner Jalaj Saxena. Pacer Pandey handed them two more jolts, removing Chirag Jani and Kamlesh Makvana within three deliveries as the score slumped to 435 for 7. Jogiyani continued at the other end and approached a double-hundred but fell short by 10 runs, when he was sent back by Saxena. Saurashtra were now 463 for 8 and could add only 29 more as Saxena took one more wicket and Pandey finished with 5 for 144.

MP batted again as Saxena continued his form and scored an unbeaten 56 even though the innings saw two run-outs, of Satyam Choudhary (29) and Naman Ojha (1), before they ended the day on 119 for 2.

Tamil Nadu 246 (Prasanna 117, Anureet 5-67) and 28 for 2 drew with Railways 169 (Karn 51, Balaji 4-31, Kaushik 3-45)
Scorecard

Tamil Nadu took three points from the drawn match with Railways with a first-innings lead, as expected, after only 14 overs of play was possible on the last day in Delhi. TN were 10 for 1 overnight in the second innings and could take the field only after lunch because of fog and play lasted little more than an hour before bad light interrupted again.

TN are now placed fourth with 17 points while Railways continue to top the table with 21.
