TEAMS
Ravindra Bhadbade was a right-hand middle-order batsman and offspinner who turned out ten times for Maharashtra between 1951-52 and 1954-55. In his first season he was played as a specialist bowler, but was promoted up the order in 1952-53 and responded with 66 against Gujarat, taking a career-best 3 for 11 in the match as well. A fortnight later he made another fifty in Maharashtra's Ranji Trophy semi-final defeat to Holkar. Rather oddly, in 1953-54 he was again dropped down the order - hardly bowling either - before, restored to a middle-order spot in the following season, he made a career-best 73 against Saurashtra. It was to be his penultimate first-class innings, and he signed off with 43 against Baroda.
