6.3 to Williamson, tight line, played tentatively, edged and gone taken by the keeper. Persistence so often rewarded for Anderson. Williamson went nowhere with the feet, pushed at the good length delivery just outside off, and got a feather edge to Buttler 11/2

1.4 to Watling, another ball that nips, this time away, Watling fends at it and finds second slip. He was very uncomfortable in the opening three balls and was playing awkwardly away from his body to a good length ball that bounced on him, took the shoulder of the bat and it was simple as you like for the fielder 2/1

7.2 to Rutherford, well wide of off stump, flashed at, nicked and Buttler takes his second straightforward catch. Probably the worst ball Finn has sent down so far and Rutherford, in his eagerness, threw the kitchen sink at it but failed to move his feet and got a thick edge 11/3

35.5 to NL McCullum, but he's gone this time, nicking off to slip! Finn has been almost unplayable today, even if you know roughly where he's going to put it - this was in the channel, quick and holding its line as McCullum moved across and fenced tamely at the ball, perhaps thinking about going to leg initially but now only going back to the pavillion 109/7

40.6 to Mills, pitched up full and straight and trapped in front, Mills was stuck on the crease, hit on the back pad and that's a pretty straightforward one for the umpire 150/9

24.6 to Taylor, slightly wide, swishes and nicked! Or did he? Taylor has called for the review... There was definitely a noise but Hot Spot is looking a little inconclusive. There's a smudge on the toe of the bat, looks like he might have just got the cue end on it... And the decision stands, the third umpire deciding there wasn't enough evidence to overturn the on-field call! Taylor has junked his promising innings and England are eyeing the underbelly 67/5

39.3 to Ellis, banged in, at the body and scooped out towards deep backward square, where Woakes takes a tumbling catch. Broad has picked up another wicket from judicious use of the short ball, Ellis tried to hook but it came off somewhere near the splice and didn't have the wings to clear the boundary 146/8

33.4 to Franklin, chipped back, Swann dives ... and got him! Not only has he gone relatively unscathed on what was billed as a "spinners' graveyard", he's got his 100th ODI wicket into the bargain. Franklin played the ball off the back foot, was nowhere near the pitch, it may have stuck in the surface slightly before looping off the bat and Swann fell to his right to bag it safely 99/6

43.5 to BB McCullum, short and shovelled out towards deep midwicket, looks like it's sailing for six only for Anderson to pluck the ball out of the air a yard in from the rope! McCullum departs after another defiant innings - he thought he'd cleared the man, there, but Anderson did really well to take the catch and keep his feet away from the boundary rope. McCullum shakes his head ... but without that knock, his side would have been long sunk by now 185/10

21.1 to Trott, and there's an immediate breakthrough, Trott pushing indeterminately in the channel and thinning a catch through to Watling! He didn't really need to play at that delivery but, in his new-found spirit of enterprise, he tried to drive on the up and off he has to trot 109/2

23.1 to Cook, Cook drives, gets a thickish edge and he's caught behind, England three down! Where did that come from? First Trott, now Cook, Southee strikes in consecutive overs, both times from a loose drive from England's too most choosy batsmen... Is the wobble on? 112/3

33.2 to Buttler, another one down! Short again, this time Buttler has a crack at it but is late on the shot, it hits the splice and loops towards leg slip, where BJ Watling takes a diving catch, another excellent bit of work. That's three wickets for Southee but the dismissal was all about Watling scampering in like a golden retriever in pursuit of a stick to throw himself at full length under the ball 171/5

6.3 to Bell, Bell pulls aerially and it sails down the throat of deep square leg! That's a soft way to go, it was a back-of-a-length ball that didn't get up all that much, Bell swished across the line, seemed to take his bottom hand off in the process, and a top-edge flew high and not-so-handsome straight into the safe hands of Rutherford 42/1

32.3 to Morgan, goes for the bouncer and Morgan clubs it out towards deep backward square leg, where Kyle Mills takes a magnificent leaping and manages to avoid stepping on the rope! Fine bit of work by the big man, who needed to be to pull that catch in 168/4
