Born in 1891 at Southampton. A Private in the 1st Battalion, Hampshire Regiment, he died at Thiepval, France, on October 23, 1916, aged 25. Described as a useful bowler and tail-end bat, he played in one match for Hampshire in 1912. This was the game against Cambridge University at Southampton in which two other players made their single appearance for the county, Arnold Page Rutherford and Francis Gordon Turner. Yaldren was one of eight bowlers used as Cambridge amassed 484. He took 1-52 off nine overs and, batting at 11, was run out for 8. In Cambridge's second innings he bowled two overs for eight runs.
