New Zealand won by 8 wickets (with 212 balls remaining)
3 July 2008 (50-over match)

Good morning and welcome to today's coverage of the highly anticipated clash between Scotland and New Zealand. I'm Callum Stewart and I will be bringing you updates from Mannofield, Aberdeen.

9.45am The weather is currently overcast but no showers are forecast for the North-East of Scotland and play is due to start on time. Both teams are out warming-up.

10.00am The spectators are already filing in, in their numbers. Poonia will return to action for Scotland today as he has no county commitments with Warwickshire and in the New Zealand camp Marshall is rested and Styris replaces him.

10.15am Team News: How, Marshall, Hopkins and Mills are all rested with Patel in as 12th man. Poonia is replacing Watts for the Scots and Watts takes over 12th man.

10.25am New Zealand have won the toss and will field.

10.30am The teams are back in the changing rooms and will return to the pitch in about 15 minutes for the start of the game.

The players take to the field and we are about to get underway...

So a bit of resistance from Scotland at the end to take them over 100 but surely it is not enough to challenge New Zealand. It's spitting slightly here so we will keep you updated as to when the teams will return for the New Zealand innings. It looks like the teams will return to the pitch straight away with about 75 minutes to go until lunch interval
