Phew, you are going to have to give us a second to recover from that ending.

Well what a match today was, big hitting from both teams meant that over 500 runs were scored in the day.

Lots of exciting bowling and fielding with the weather playing its part and giving us a beautiful summers day here in Stormont.

Plenty of the Afghan batsmen managed to get in, with 5 of them scoring over 30. Yet every time that they looked like getting ahead in the chase they lost wickets.

The killer being losing three wickets in three balls towards the end of the innings.

Dawlat certainly livened up the crowd with his fantastic 31 off 15 balls, but they had left him too much to do.

O'Brien ended up with three wickets, which isn't a bad way to finish off your 100th ODI.

Yet the wickets were spread around between the bowler. With only McBrine not taking a wicket.

Today will be Ed Joyce's day, without him Ireland wouldn't have won and levelled the series. What a brillaint series it was between these two team.

Ended 2-2. Feels a shame that there was only 5 games in the series!

There was a number of great performances from both sides, Rashid Arman looks a great talent and played well in every game. Ed Joyce for his two centuries has been named player of the series. So Congratulations to him.

The Afghanistan tour of Europe continues, travelling to the Netherlands for an Intercontinental four day game.

For Ireland, comes Pakistan, on August 18th in Dublin. So please join us then.

So thanks for following my commentary over the series, its been great to commentate on it.

This is Justin Smyth saying goodnight from a sunlit Stormont. Goodnight
