Scorecard
India A maintained their position at the top of the table with a narrow one-wicket win against South Africa A in the Quadrangular A-Team one-day series in Darwin. Chasing a stiff 275, India's top three batsmen gave them an ideal start. Robin Uthappa and Unmukt Chand added 84 for the opening wicket before Chand added a further 68 with Manan Vohra. While both Vohra and Chand registered half-centuries, Uthappa missed out by four runs.
India suffered a middle-order slump as they lost four wickets for 25 runs. Sanju Samson and Rishi Dhawan stabilised the innings with a 44-run sixth-wicket stand but both were dismissed on the same score by Marchant de Lange. At 234 for 8, India were almost out but a late riposte by Karn Sharma, who scored 39 in 16 balls, took them over the line.
South Africa's innings had revolved around Rilee Rossouw after they had lost their first wicket cheaply. Rossouw shook off a poor run in the tournament with his sixth List A century. His 137 took 150 balls and included 15 fours. He was the sixth batsman to be dismissed but the team score was almost touching 250. However, the Rossouw's career-best innings went in vain.
