That's all from the first Twenty20 international of the series. Do join us for the season-ender tomorrow. Same time, same place

Quotes from the presentation

"We gave away too many runs in the Powerplay," says Darren Sammy. "We still have to learn how to do it. I believed in Gabriel's extra pace, and thought he could get Afridi out. He did get him out, but a bit too late. We batted like champions, but this time our bowlers didn't back up our batsmen."

"It's a great effort by the players," says Mohammad Hafeez. "Really happy to see their desire to win. Really happy with the contribution of the two debutants, and then Mr Afridi. It was a tough chase, but the positive intent was there. Really happy to say there."

"I am very happy," says Shahid Afridi, the Man of the Match. "I think the way Mohammad Hafeez is leading the team, it is very good. I should give my award to Zulfiqar Babar: he bowled well, fielded well, batted well. And Umar Amin too."

You're nearly 35, you finally get the Pakistan cap, and what do you do? Three wickets including Samuels', and then score 13 nerveless runs when all around you are losing their head. A tip of the hat to you, sir. And so to Afridi too. He came and smacked the first ball he faced for a six after which he settled down into a largely sensible chase of 153, and left only eight short

However, on this pitch, you shouldn't be losing after scoring 152. The West Indies bowlers were poor, fielding worse, and captaincy questionable. Possibly that's what T20 pressure does to you. We hope to find out more when Sammy and Hafeez speak at the presentation, so do stick around

Randy: "After Bravo's horrible captaincy, Sammy was starting to look increasingly appealing. Then he goes and underbowls himself as usual to remind me why I wanted him gone in the first place...."

"Jamsheds controversy SIX may be the key thing for WI...if it is FOUR the things might be different..well done babar..." Kajini, don't forget the last ball of the West Indies' innings, when possibly every non-striker other than Sunil Narine would have taken two runs. And Gayle's fielding too

Samuels to Babar, SIX runs

oh Babar. What a debut. What a player. Samuels keeps darting them in, but this one is a low full toss, and Babar has got under this to clear the infield. What's more? This has cleared the long-off boundary

What a finish. It is raining. One run required off the last ball

19.5
W
Samuels to Ajmal, OUT

the game is alive still. Ajmal drives and runs. Straight to mid-off it has gone. Simmons lets it rip, and finds Ajmal short. At least AJmal has given Babar the strike

Saeed Ajmal run out (Simmons) 0 (1b 0x4 0x6 7m) SR: 0
19.4
1lb
Samuels to Babar, 1 leg bye

scores are level. Afridi lightens up finally. Fired into the pads at 120ks, but they steal a leg-bye. Ajmal does his job by responding to the call. Sammy from short midwicket wants to do under-arm it, but Ajmal is between him and the throw. Ajmal hasn't changed his direction, though

19.3
Samuels to Babar, no run

darted outside off. Beats the big drive

Rain is falling, field is coming up

19.2
Samuels to Babar, no run

another dart. This time a yorker. Clipped to square leg. No single available

19.1
4
Samuels to Babar, FOUR runs

that's the game. What a debut, sir. Babar has snatches this. Quick length ball on off. Samuels just darted it in. He drove, drove with an open face, and it cleared cover

Samuels it is. Super Over not ruled out here. And I think it might be raining too. All happening here

Now that the game is alive, who will bowl the last over? Sammy? Samuels? Or Bravo to bowl his first today?

18.6
1
Gabriel to Babar, 1 run

short, not too quick, pulled in front of square. Ajmal wants the second but Babar sends him back as Bravo is swooping in on it from long-on

18.5
Gabriel to Babar, no run

short of a length, outside off, Babr plays with an open face, but is beaten on the outside edge. Playing down the wrong line there. Sammy applauds

18.4
Gabriel to Babar, no run

short of a length, just outside off, played back to him. Babar opened the face to try to get a single, but ended up paying this back to SG

Abir Utsha: "And Afridi gone now! Gift - return gift trend continues!!!"

18.4
1w
Gabriel to Babar, 1 wide

another wide from Gabriel. Down the leg side again. Just not confident enough

18.3
Gabriel to Babar, no run

accurate all of a sudden. On a length, on of, defended

Game is on now. Afridi is disappointed. Hafeez still pats his back. Saeed Ajmal walks out. Babar is on strike

18.2
W
Gabriel to Afridi, OUT

Gabriel gives Sammy the wicket, but is it too late? Length ball outside off, Afridi can see the end of the match there, and he goes hard at it. Except he gets too under it, and skies it towards long-off where Bravo calls early and Sammy stays away. Good fielding under pressure

Shahid Afridi c Bravo b Gabriel 46 (27b 4x4 2x6 36m) SR: 170.37

rssampat: "Sammy as a Captain under bowls himself despite bowling well and Bravo over bowls himself as a Captain despite bowling horribly."

18.2
1w
Gabriel to Afridi, 1 wide

short, down the leg side. Another wide

18.1
4
Gabriel to Afridi, FOUR runs

Afridi is toying around with a bowler low on confidence. Plants the big front foot across, takes a length ball from wide outside off, and ramps this fine of short fine leg. Pumps his fist as soon as he sees he has beaten the fielder

18.1
3w
Gabriel to Afridi, 3 wide

big wide down the leg side, the diving Charles can only get a hand to it. That's three runs before a ball is bowled

Sammy is insisting Gabriel bowl another over. Sammy is clearly going by what his insides are telling him. Logically speaking, Gabriel hasn't bowled well today, but Sammy is punting on him here

Narine to Babar, no run

oh what? A reverse-sweep. And connected well too. But can't beat Best at point. So excited is Babar he nearly runs himself out by going for the single that never is

17.5
Narine to Babar, no run

bat-pad. This offbreak takes the inside edge, hits the pad, lobs up in the air, but far enough from the keeper

17.4
Narine to Babar, no run

carrom ball outside off, beats him, but West Indies still not getting that wicket

17.3
Narine to Babar, no run

Babar plants the front foot down, is beaten by the offbreak. Sammy catches at slip, but this has come off the pad only

A slip comes in now

17.2
1
Narine to Afridi, 1 run

on a length, on off, doesn't turn, played with an open face for one

Goes over the wicket. No slip now either
