5.2 Nicol goes! Early strike by Philander, short of a good length, Nicol moved across and flirted with it just as it nipped away, enough to take a thin edge through to Boucher 11/1
19.2 bowled'im! An unlucky way to get out, these two were looking good, short of a good length outside off and it appeared to move away a hint, Guptill hung his bat loosely as he tried to play it off the back foot, got an inside edge onto the stumps 44/2
48.3 Steyn lets out a triumphant roar, that was planned, there is a deep square leg in place, McCullum had given Morkel the treatment in that region but this one was a quick short ball from Steyn, he didn't time it as well as he would have liked as he went for the pull and it landed safely in the hands of the deep square leg fielder, Rudolph is the man 133/3
49.4 edged and taken! Philander strikes in his new spell and South Africa have gained the ascendancy here, short of a good length and Taylor was tempted into playing the cut, slashed hard, it took the outside edge and Smith reacted sharply to his right and snapped a touch chance at first slip, South Africa have hit back 133/4
50.5 New Zealand are in trouble now, Steyn has nipped out another wicket! Banged in short, a fiery delivery bowled on the off and Williamson is forced to play at this one as it shoots off the pitch, it raps the glove and lobs up towards slip where Smith makes no mistake 133/5
51.1 This is a collapse, four wickets for no run, Philander and Steyn are giving New Zealand nightmares! This one nipped back in, on a good length on the off and moved back in to bowl the former New Zealand captain through the gate 133/6
58.2 lbw, Doctrove has given it out, angling in towards off and middle, van Wyk moved across, was he struck in line? Seemed to be, the height was alright, would have hit off I think, nipped back in, and the review confirms that. van Wyk had called for a review, but the original decision was upheld 176/8
51.4 another one, five wickets for no run! Philander, you beauty. Another good length ball, moved away just enough after pitching, Bracewell flirted with it, got a thick edge and Boucher took a good catch diving to his right 133/7
59.3 outstanding catch by Alviro Peterson, pitched up from Tahir and that was slog-swept, Gillespie struck it extremely hard but didn't get the desired elevation, Peterson was waiting at midwicket and he leapt, stuck out one hand and plucked it clean, timing his jump to perfection 184/9
61.2 quicker one, bowled it short on middle and Arnel went for the pull, didn't pick the change in pace and was struck in front of leg stump, didn't call for the review, he knew he was gone 185/10

4.4 Has Kruger van Wyk pulled off a stunner? Angled in, landed wide and full, Smith tried to drive that through cover, ended up chasing it, got an inside edge and van Wyk dived full length to his right to snap it inches from the ground, that's a brilliant effort, Smith has to walk back as replays confirm the catch is clean 14/1
26.6 Gillespie gets another one! That looked out on first sighting, walked across to that good length ball, aiming to drive it through midwicket, no contact with the bat, struck him in line, umpire Kettleborough gave it out, Petersen though wants a review, it's a futile review, that would have taken out middle and leg as the replays confirm, he has to go back 84/5
6.3 Steyn has to go, New Zealand have made early inroads, teasing him with a good length ball outside off, Steyn comes forward and plays at that one, gets a thin edge straight to the keeper 18/2
22.2 Gillespie strikes! Amla goes, it's a massive wicket, pitched up outside off and Amla went after that one, struck it sweetly but square-drove it straight to Williamson at backward point who is much further up than usual, good sharp catch moving to his right 63/3
24.3 Kallis has to walk back, fortunate for Gillespie this time but what a boost for New Zealand, down the leg side and he walks across to flick it fine, clips it and van Wyk dives to his left to take a good catch, came off the bat no doubt, he has to go 69/4
69.5 lucky for Vettori, not so for AB, seemed a harmless delivery, was slower through the air, landed on the off, AB, as he had done several times this innings, tapped it gently but it rolled back onto the stumps and he could do nothing to stop it 219/9
28.5 Gillespie's taken four, this was an excellent delivery, in the channel outside off stump, much closer to the off stump and got it to move away just enough after pitching, Rudolph played forward and pushed at it, got a thin edge through to van Wyk, South Africa in trouble now 88/6
50.6 Gillespie picks five, what a return to Test cricket after more than three years, attempted yorker this time, lands on the off just on a length, Boucher tries to keep it out, gets an inside edge onto the pads and then onto the stumps 151/7
62.1 bowled'im! Misjudgement from Philander, good length ball from Bracewell, lands on the off and holds its line when Philander was probably expecting it to dart away, leaves it alone and hears the death rattle as it crashes into off stump 185/8

1.6 Nicol's poor Test continues, slightly unfortunate there, short of a good length, he tried to play that off the back foot, struck him high on the pad, made some contact with his arm as he tried to whip it across and rolled back towards the stumps, he tried to kick the ball away but the damage had been done, the off-stump bail had been dislodged by the time he decided to act 1/1
4.1 Three down, Guptill's turn to head back, angling in towards middle, Guptill moved across and drove that well but it was uppish and landed straight in the palms of Hashim Amla at midwicket, New Zealand can ill-afford a start like this 7/3
3.6 New Zealand in some trouble now! McCullum's trapped in front, he doesn't review it, he knows he's out, Philander bowled that on a length on middle, appeared to nip back in, McCullum got across to work it square but missed it and was struck in line, would have gone on to hit middle and leg. Doctrove had no doubt 7/2
28.5 Given out lbw but Taylor has called for a review, lots of reverse-swing on that one, landed in the blockhole on leg, in fact it struck him on the full as he went across, the impact was around leg stump, would it have gone down? DRS says the impact was in line and that it would have hit a good part of leg. Taylor has to go. 64/4
63.3 Philander, you beauty! Williamson's vigil ends and South Africa are dominating this game now, in the channel outside off, just a hint of away movement, it was just about wide enough to induce a poke from Williamson and it took the outside edge, Boucher completed an easy catch 142/7
47.3 Big blow, Vettori, who had batted determinedly uptil now, has to walk back! Surprised by the short one from Kallis, and what made it even more difficult for Vettori was that it darted further in towards him, took his eyes off as he tried to avoid it but the glove came in the way, it flicked the glove on the way to the keeper 99/5
61.6 Philander strikes! Got that one to nip back in and van Wyk misjudged the line, probably didn't expect it to come in either given Philander had been moving it the other way this over, leaves that short of a good length ball alone and the off stump is pegged back. The pressure mounts on Williamson 141/6
64.5 cleaned him up, no answer to Morkel's reverse-swing! Swung in big time, landed just outside off and came in further, Bracewell left that alone and out went the off stump, cartwheeling towards Boucher 142/8
65.6 Another five-for for Philander, pitched up outside off, Gillespie made room to thrash that through the off side, got a thick edge and Boucher did well stretching to his right 160/9
