19.1 McCullum has to go, Australia completely on top now, couldn't resist poking at a full, swinging, tempting delivery outside off that nipped away, it drew him into playing a shot and he got a faint nick straight to Haddin. All that patience and restraint and steel he'd displayed to get his far has been washed away 60/5
1.2 Siddle strikes! What a beauty! Just the right amount of movement, a hint of away movement after pitching on a good length on middle, Guptill played inside the line to that one, driving forward and nicked it straight to the keeper 10/1
2.6 appeal for lbw, Clarke has called for a review, swung in and rapped Ryder on the pads near leg stump, the bat made contact with the pad as Ryder was trying to close the face on that fullish delivery. Hot Spot left the mark but to me it seems it was the bat making contact with the pad and not the inside edge but it's what the umpire thinks that counts. Ball-tracking shows the impact was in line with the stumps and the ball would have gone on to hit leg stump. Nigel Llong reverses his decision, it's out and Ryder has to walk back. 11/2
7.4 Siddle strikes again, the umpire gives it out and Taylor calls for the review. Landed on a good length outside off stump and nipped back in sharply, Taylor didn't read it well, opted to leave and was struck on the pads, the umpire gave it out immediately once the appeal was made but Taylor wasn't convinced. Called for a review, thinking it may have gone over the stumps but ball-tracking shows the ball would have taken off the bails. It's the umpire's call, and he upholds the decision. Three down, New Zealand are in trouble. 25/3
18.2 caught-behind, caught down the leg side, a fortunate breakthrough for Starc, clear impact with the bat, down the leg side and Williamson chased it, trying to glance it down to the fine-leg boundary, made contact but it wasn't far enough from Haddin who dived to his left to complete a good catch, four down now 56/4
45.4 Oh dear, Brownlie's chopped it on, short ball and he's cut well so far this innings, it's something you'd back him pull off but this one nipped in slightly and he got an inside edge onto the stumps as he was targeting the point region, the end of a very good innings that promised much more 150/9
19.5 bowled'im! Young departs, angled in and then moved away and Young was shaping to leave that one alone after it pitched but ended up chopping it on just as he was doing it, six down and New Zealand are in tatters 60/6
33.6 Siddle strikes again, another promising stand broken, Bracewell had hung in at one end, supporting his more fluent partner, but was tempted into driving at a perfectly pitched-up delivery outside off that moved away, got a healthy edge straight to Clarke at first slip 105/7
44.1 Brownlie's stranded, Southee chases a wide delivery from Starc, aiming to strike that through cover and drags it onto the stumps. That's two lower-order partnerships that showed some mettle, only to be cut short by avoidable shots 146/8

8.4 Martin strikes on his birthday! Pitched on a length on the off and Warner is sucked into the drive, walks forward to drive it through mid-off and it moves away to take the outside edge, Ross Taylor takes it comfortably at first slip 24/2
2.1 Martin strikes! Hughes is caught in the slips once again, the pressure on him grows, lovely delivery in the channel outside off, shaping away from the left-hander, leant forward to defend and it took the outside edge as it moved away, Guptill made no mistake at second slip. Tried to defend there with a slightly open face did Hughes 7/1
18.6 Khawaja has to go! Martin gets three, he's on a bit of a roll is the birthday boy, good length and just some away movement off the pitch there, it drew Khawaja forward who couldn't resist a poke, he'd been leaving a lot of those deliveries for much of his innings, got a faint edge and Young made no mistake 35/4
15.2 Ponting walked even before he was given out! He knew he was gone, landed on a good length on the off and moved back in further, Ponting had moved across and was caught in several minds about what to do with it, whether to play it to mid-on, or midwicket or squarer or leave it and in the end he didn't do any, was too late in bringing his bat down and by the time he did, the ball had struck him in line with middle, plumb. Again, he was surprised by the movement. 31/3
31.5 Rewind to Ashes 2005, Simon Jones to Clarke at Old Trafford. The only difference is that that it was reverse-swing that had a hand in the dismissal then. In this case, it was some inward movement off the pitch and a big misjudgement on the part of Clarke, landed short of a good length outside off and nipped in and he left that be, not expecting it to dart back in. Off-stump knocked back 75/7
24.6 Maiden Test wicket for Boult, was not flustered by the pull the previous ball, short of a good length this time just on the off stump and got it to nip away, Hussey was looking to leave that one but that decision came a little late and feathered it to the wicketkeeper just as he was about to shoulder arms, Young was alert and dived foward and low to take a good catch 58/5
29.1 Bracewell isn't let down by his fielders today, Haddin is tempted to go after that pitched up delivery and he strikes it straight into the hands of McCullum at mid-off, the visitors on top here 69/6
47.6 edged and taken at second slip, Bracewell strikes, away movement once again after landing on a good length outside off, Siddle stabbed at that one and got a thick edge, Guptill waited patiently at second slip, got down in time and took a low catch 131/8
48.5 Williamson takes a beauty at gully, Pattinson goes, full outside off and he went after that one, sliced it between gully and point, Williamson reacted quickly, moving to his left and taking a sharp, low catch with a dive, plucking it with both hands, nine down now 131/9
50.6 appeal for lbw turned down by Asad Rauf and Taylor calls for a review, lands on a good length on middle and was angling towards leg, no impact with the bat, was heading towards leg stump, a good part of the ball as the ball-tracking shows and Asad Rauf will have to reverse his decision. It's out. 136/10

12.2 Wickets continue to tumble on day two, the efforts of both openers before the tea break have been undermined, short of a good length outside off, again much closer to the off stump, and nips away, Guptill pokes at it and feathers it to the keeper as the ball leaves him, Australia have hit back hard. A needless poke, he would think, in hindsight 36/2
11.4 edged and gone! McCullum has to go, pitched up again, much closer to the off stump and it moves away, McCullum, like he did in the first innings, drives at that one and edges it straight to third slip, the umpires checked for a no-ball and replays showed Pattinson's foot landed behind the crease and then slid forward, that's safe, McCullum walks back 36/1
22.5 stumped, a leg-side stumping, Haddin did brilliantly and Ryder and Ponting exhanged a few words as the batsman was walking back, slipped it down the leg side did Hussey and Ryder tried to whip that fine, didn't connect and stepped out of the crease momentarily, Haddin collected brilliantly and took out the bails in a swoosh, New Zealand are three down 73/3
62.2 edged and gone, Taylor has to go, lovely delivery, pitched up close to the off stump and Taylor drove at it, what did him was the away movement just as he pushed forward, got a thick edge and Clarke took a sharp catch to his right at first slip, big blow this 171/5
44.3 Gone! Siddle strikes in the first over, Ponting moved to his right at second slip, diving to his right, and takes it neatly in front of his face, pitched up and Williamson, who'd been so good leaving the balls outside off, couldn't resist reaching forward and driving at that one, got a thick edge and Ponting made no mistake 139/4
64.6 gone! Pattinson removes another big threat, Brownlie was given a tough time by some short deliveries from the seamers and he perishes trying to evade one, short on middle and off and he tries to sway out of the way but can't get his hands down in time, the ball knocks the glove and Haddin takes it easily 178/6
73.1 That looked plumb and Reece Young knew he was gone, much like Ponting, angling in towards middle and it held its line, Young looked to drive that straight down the ground, missed and was trapped in front, not in the best nick is Young 190/7
74.5 Lyon's wrapping this up here, Bracewell attempts a slog-sweep, this was tossed up, landed on the off and turned in, the batsman missed and the stumps were knocked back. Three wickets down in very quick time, two to avoidable shots, the momentum swings Australia's way once again in this see-saw game 203/9
74.3 the birthday boy departs, Southee falls eight minutes before the lunch break, Lyon played this one smartly, bowled it flat and it was much quicker through the air, landed on a length and Southee couldn't resist the temptation, struck it hard but didn't get the desired elevation and Hussey, at long-on, ran in a few paces, dived forward and completed a good catch 203/8
78.3 holes out this time, Lyon takes three, tossed up and he charges down the track and strikes it well but Hussey's positoned perfectly at long-on and makes no mistake 226/10

20.5 Hughes has been caught in the slips, off Martin once again, New Zealand have started superbly, short of a good length, a little closer to the off stump this one and nips away after a bit of outswing, a fatal poke from Phil Hughes and it's that man Guptill again who snaps him, moving to his left at second slip, early pressure on the hosts. Four in four for Martin, Hughes and Guptill 72/1

34.6 edged and Khawaja perishes chasing a wide one, just when Australia had a sound partnership going, brilliantly taken by Taylor at first slip, his view would have been obstructed partly by Guptill who dived to his right from second slip but he held on, full and wide and Khawaja tried to cream that through the covers, didn't quite work out that way 122/2
45.4 did that stop on Ponting? Bracewell bowled that short of a good length and he mistimed it completely, punching it away from his body straight into the hands of extra cover, Ponting walks back to a standing ovation. The umpire checked again for a no-ball but Bracewell was safe there 159/3
47.5 New Zealand have fought back, this is getting close, pitched up outside off and Clarke is sucked into playing the drive, it moves away after pitching, Clarke gets a thick outside edge and Taylor snaps it at first slip on the second attempt 159/4
47.6 It seems like we are, Bracewell has struck and spiced up this game even more, full delivery swinging in to the left-hander, lands on leg and straightens, Hussey closes the face on that one, misses and is struck in line. Asad Rauf probably reckons it's missing leg and gives it not out but Taylor calls for a review, and replays show it would have taken leg stump, Rauf has to reverse his decision and raises his finger sparking celebrations in the New Zealand camp 159/5
54.2 Haddin goes, a significant blow as he can get runs quickly, pitched on a length outside off and Southee continues to get it to swing away, chased it did Haddin and got a thick edge, straight into the hands of Taylor at first slip 192/6
54.5 New Zealand are ahead now, Siddle goes! Fishing for the away going delivery, swinging away, Siddle prods at that one, gets a thick edge and Ryder at second slip makes no mistake, moving low to his left 194/7
55.4 New Zealan are on top now. The world has turned after lunch. Pattinson chases a wide one and the slips have been brilliant today, pitched it on a length and it was away-going delivery, Pattinson reached for that one and got a thick edge and Guptill snapped it easily at second slip 199/8
55.6 Bracewell's struck, what a ripper, nipped back in from the off stump and Starc had no answer, was cleaned up, that knocked middle and off, significant movement back in towards middle and Bracewell's taken five, New Zealand on the brink of a famous win 199/9
63.4 Bracewell seals it for New Zealand! Got that to nip back in from outside off, closed the face on that one but it beat him through the gate, what a Test match but fittingly, it was Bracewell who finished it off, securing his team's first win over Australia since March 1993. It's their first Test win in Australia since 1985 233/10
