Full commentary

It was the same script as yesterday, Pakistan batting let them down once more, and despite some good bowling from them, there wasn't enough on the board to put pressure on the South Africans.

It's been a hugely impressive show from Johan Botha's men, stifling the Pakistan batting in both matches, and then the South African batting kept its head even when things started to get tight. Colin Ingram seems to be a big plus for them, showing a solid temperament and not being fazed by the big names.

The one question mark against South Africa today was their batting against spin. Smith was clueless against Afridi, and Hafeez got through his four overs without much punishment.

Sriram Veera has the story of the match in his bulletin.

Post-match presentation:

Rusty Theron is the Man of the Match. "Took a bit of time to settle but luckily tonight it worked out for me. I think Ingram made the difference today. It's been a bit of a dream start for me. A long way to go yet but so far so good. We did our homework and executed what we wanted to do."

Shahid Afridi: "I'm very disappointed. I was expecting a lot, especially from myself, but I couldn't produce in these two matches. I don't know why I played these shots. I know how important my batting is for my team. I know my team is very good in ODIs and we will definitely come back then." Some sections of the crowd booing Afridi as he walks off.

Johan Botha: "Very happy with the performance. Afridi bowled really well, Hafeez was brilliant, Ingram came in and took the pressure off our shoulders. Hopefully we can continue our momentum on Friday and Sunday."

A smiling Botha collects the trophy and walks over to his team-mates and they pose for a team photo with the title. A superb start to the series for South Africa, can they continue to win on Friday or will Pakistan bounce back? Join us to find out, till then it's goodbye from us at Cricinfo.

Shoaib Akhtar to Ingram, OUT

Ingram is gone, he is disgusted as he holes out to long-on, a short ball to end the over, he pulls it but not with enough power to clear the fielder, Umar Akmal pouches it Aussie-style

Arsalan Qadir: "@Ali eventhough Amla might be seen as a test or odi cricketer, and taking time to get in, his runs against Zimbabwe, especially his first 50, were at better than a run a ball, if I'm not mistaken, his 50 in that first odi was in 30 odd balls. So I def believe he should be playing ahead of bosman if kallis isn't "

Bit of a delay as the ball is being changed.
