South Africa have always been good tourists to India, and this tour was no different. They were competitive, played in the right spirit, and bar one day in Gwalior, they never really blown away. Well played India for the amazing comeback in the Tests, and cheers to South Africa. Wishing the Test series was longer, Cricinfo team says goodbye.

Presentation

AB de Villiers and Jacques Kallis win the Partnership of the Match. So sweet.

MS Dhoni: "The three fast bowlers that we played, their strength was not change of pace. If we had somebody like Ashish Nehra or Zaheer, things would have been different. The kind of start they got, 340 would have been a decent total to restrict them to. We have done well [over the season], there have been injuries, we have missed key players, if you look at everything, we have done really well." And the Ahmedabad crowd boos Dhoni off, and boos Kallis in.

Jacques Kallis: "We know we are a lot better than we have played in the series. If we play to our strength, we are a very good one-day side. AB played a really special knock, taking the total from 300 to 360. We will all take a lot with us from here, we will be a lot better cricketers. Fantastic cricket. Big thank you to all the Indian supporters." Finally they cheer him.

Ab de Villiers, Man of the Match: "It's always nice coming to India, we have been pretty up and down in the series, but ending up on a high note is pleasing. Loots and Hashim set a good foundation, and gave me the freedom to express myself in the end. I always love playing in Ahmedabad [he scored a Test double here last tour]. Definitely becoming my favourite ground."

Sachin Tendulkar, for Gwalior innings, for its "impact" is named the Man of the Series by the commentary team. Tendulkar is not there, Dhoni receives the award on Tendulkar's behalf.

van der Merwe to Mithun, OUT

stumped off a full toss! high full toss, Mithun misses the shot, and loses balance as the ball settles in Boucher's gloves. Boucher does well to catch him in that instant. Ian Gould calls no-ball first, then signals as if to call for the TV umpire, but changes his mind and gives him out regardless. Smoewhere there he must have realised that it's a spinner bowling and hence it's a no-ball. Well done all round, Ian Gould
