2.6 What a beauty! The off stump has gone for a walk. It pitched outside off stump and cut in sharply, Smith leaned forward to defend but the ball rushed in through the bat and pad gap to crash into the off stump. Clatter! Zak wins yet another mini-battle with Graeme. 9/1
52.4 Petersen falls, but only after he secured his special hundred on debut. It was a full-length delivery that landed outside off stump, Petersen went for the drive and got a thick fat edge. He has done his job, though. Enter Jacques Kallis. 218/2
56.4 Ishant's bumper barrage didn't result in a wicket but Zaheer gets Amla's wicket a short delivery. The left-hander's angle took it away from Amla who went for the pull shot, trying to fetch it from outside off stump, but could only edge it behind. A fine innings filled with delightful drives comes to an end 229/3
65.1 The crowd roar as Harbhajan takes out Kallis with a topspinner. Now then .. It's a flighted delivery outside off stump and Kallis goes for the big slog sweep but edges it toward short fine-leg region. Laxman runs back from the first slip to take a good catch.. tumbling down after he stretched his hands out to take the ball falling from behind his shoulder. 251/4
68.3 AB is run out! What a dramatic final session of play. What a turn around. Thrilling spine-tingling stuff. You can guess the crowd's reaction. R O A R. Indians are in a huddle of joy. The shortish delivery was pushed towards short mid-off region .. confusion between the two batsmen .. .AB is out almost middle of the track .. Zaheer runs after the ball, picks it up,. turns and let the ball rip .. whirrrr .... the ball crashes into the non-striker's end and AB dives but falls just short of the crease. ..Gone! 254/7
67.1 trapped in front! Harbhajan takes two in two overs... the crowd have gone mad in joy as they scream ... It landed on the off stump line, from round the stumps, moved in to hit the pad right in front of middle. Dead duck! Prince was pushing outside the line, playing for the turn. 253/5
67.2 Now then .. now then .. how quickly things change. Harbhajan is on a hatrick. Almost the action replay. Again, it drifted in from round the stumps with the angle and the topspinner went on straight to hit the pad... again another left-hander caught pushing outside the line. Harbhajan knew instantly that he had his man and he leads the crowd with a celebratory run of joy followed by his team-mates. The crowd have gone wild. Eden Gardens is quite a spectacle in these moments. No other ground in India quite matches its intensity in these dramatic moments. 253/6
76.1 Given out lbw though there was an inside-edge. Mishra gets his first wicket of the series. It was the slider; it landed around middle and off and moved in. Steyn pushed forward to defend and got an edge. He has to go, though. It did look pretty adjacent Live but replays show that there was an edge. Steyn shook his head in disappointment as he walked away .. 261/9
70.3 Ishant does the namashkar - palms folded together as he bows forward and salutes/thanks the batsman (?!). IT was a short of length delivery outside off stump and Harris edges the intended drive to Dhoni. Eight down and tottering after tea break. What a stunning change of events. 255/8
84.6 Trapped in front. South Africa bowled out for 296. Full, straight on the middle and it moves past the defensive waft to strike the pad. Handy last-wicket partnership for SA. 296/10

9.2 Gambhir is run out . It was edged past square-leg and it was Sehwag who called Gambhir for the second run. Gambhir responded but Sehwag changed his mind. Too late. Gambhir was stranded in the middle of the track. Gone! . Against the run of play Good work from Alviro, who ran after the ball and dived to reached the ball and released it quickly 73/1
70.2 Duminy, who reprieved Sehwag earlier, takes his wicket now! It was floated well outside off stump, from round the stumps,Sehwag reached out to drive and couldn't keep it down; he hit it low to right of short cover. Sehwag falls after yet another fine hundred and after putting India in a commanding position 331/3
12.4 Morne takes out VIjay. Full in length, just outside off stump, Vijay, who has been bombarded with bouncer barrage, gets forward but lands on his left heel, balance is awry, and edges the defensive poke. AB flies low to his right to take a sharp catch. AB didn't take a step to his right like a regular keeper might have done but made up for it with his reflex 82/2
71.5 Harris takes out SRT twice in a row now! From round the stumps, flighted on a length outside offs tump, Tendulkar tries to drive inside-out and edges it to right of first slip where Kallis swallows it. Two quick wickets, both set batsmen are gone in a blink and the game roars back to life again. Immense fun. What a ride this Test has been. Can South Africa press on? Will India get ahead again? 335/4

74.6 Steyn you beauty! It was the vicious off cutter, cutting in from just outside off stump, Badrinath is clueless as he pushes out tentatively and the ball rushes through the bat and pad gap to crash against the off stump. Badri totally exposed there; Steyn has been working him through that over. Totally outclassed. And South Africa are back in the hunt. The game is alive and kicking. What more can one ask? 336/5
87.4 Fine catch from Kallis at second slip. It kicks up from short of length outside off, came in slightly, Mishra goes for that upper cut again and Kallis leaps to grab it from over his head .. 384/6

12.1 Trapped in front. Mishra takes out the big wicket of Smith in his first delivery and boy... is he mobbed by his team-mates or what. It landed on the off stump line, turned in, Smith tried to play it with the turn but played all around it and was struck in front of middle and off. It would have spun into middle and leg stump. Gone! Huge wicket this. Eden Gardens erupts. 36/1
17.2 A typical Harbhajan dismissal. Bat and pad to short-leg. It drifted across, turned in from the off stump line, collided with the inside-edge, bounded off the pad and flew to right of short-leg where Badrinath jumps, stretches his right hand above head-high towards his right, pops up the ball and takes the rebound. Petersen turns around and walks away immediately. 54/2

33.2 What a fine leg break. Probably Mishra's best delivery in this series. It was released with the scrambled seam, curved in to the middle and off stump line and broke away sharply. Kallis was leaning forward to defend and he pushed outside the line trying to cover for the leg break but it spun more than he thought it would and kissed the outside edge. What a big wicket. Huge blow this. Just when the two were looking settled, Mishra has struck. It wasn't a huge-turning leg break in the conventional sense of the word but it did just about enough to take the edge 111/3
61.4 Done in by the flight. Harbhajan suddenly shifted the line to outside off and also tossed it up higher and slower and applied some over-spin. it looped and dipped outside off. Prince seemed lured to his demise as he sort of stabbed it across the line, checked his drive and the ball ballooned to mid-off. India break through. 158/4
68.1 Dead plumb. Mishyyyyy! AB didn't pick the googly. It turned in from the off and middle line and broke back in. AB pushed outside the line and to his horror the ball turned in to catch him right in front of the middle. Gone! Amla stands alone. South Africa are wobbling here in Eden 164/5
73.6 What a wonderful piece of bowling. Harbhajan slides this one in, from just outside off stump, Duminy goes back, plays for the turn but there isn't any and it looked pretty ugly when it struck him around the off stump. The finger goes up and another South African batsman leaves Amla alone in the middle 172/6
77.6 Harbhajan moves to round the stumps and strikes immediately. It drifted in, landed on middle and turned in to hit the pad in front of middle stump line. It would have crashed into middle. Steyn played all around it. 180/7
102.2 Scream of joy from Ishant. Full and straight on the middle, Parnell suddenly loses focus and chips it across the line and straight to shortish mid-on. And the wheels are coming off again. Just two wickets more now. Can the tail support Amla? Will India finish the job? 250/8
110.5 Eden Gardens roars. Nay screams in delight. Ishant lets out a scream too. It was a length delivery that straightened outside off stump, Harris pushed out at it and got a thick edge which has been swallowed by Dinesh karthik at third slip. What buzz around this great historical venue. More big Test matches needs to be played here. In the here and now, India stand just a wicket away from the No 1 ranking. Amla looks forlorn out there. What an innings he has played. 264/9
131.3 Eden Gardens has gone mad as Harbhajan Singh, the man under immense pressure after a lackluster performance in Nagpur, does it for India in his favorite Eden. Hashim Amla is devastated. What a moment this. Trapped in front. Eden Gardens has gone wild. They are screaming their heads off. It landed on the middle stump line and just about straightened, Morne pushed slightly outside the line, and the ball hit the pad in front of middle ..middle and leg. It would have hit the leg and middle stump. Gone! The fatal finger goes up! India remain no 1. Harbhajan leads the celebratory run to nowhere. He screams and screams as he looks at the crowd and is mobbed by his team-mates. The Indians quickly break away to run and congratulate Amla on an outstanding innings. They couldn't get him out at all but they have taken out the rest. It will go down as one of the most memorable games played on this hallowed venue. The appeal was typically Indian. Harbhajan was back--pedaling even as he shouted out an huge appeal. Every close-in fielder jumped up to scream and everyone in the crowd were obviously appealing. The umpire Steve Davis thought about it for a moment before ruling it, correctly, out. As the finger moved, Harbhajan turned and dashed for his run. And the crowd began their typical R O A R. 290/10
