Rain forced the abandonment of the second ODI between Canada and Kenya in Toronto on Saturday. The match was called off in the 18th over, with Canada rebuilding the innings after losing three early wickets. This was a replay of the match originally scheduled for Friday but washed out without a ball being bowled.
After Kenya won the toss and elected to field, opening bowler Thomas Odoyo struck in the third over when he dismissed Rizwan Cheema for 1. Odoyo went on to remove two more batsmen - Hiral Patel and Abdool Samad - to reduce Canada to 14 for 3. Zubin Surkari and Sandeep Jyoti pulled Canada out of trouble with a 49-run stand for the fourth wicket, but rain intervened and no further play was possible for the day.
Canada lead the three-match series 1-0, and the final ODI is scheduled for Sunday.
