10.1 a huge appeal from Sidebottom as Vandort is rapped on the pads. Rauf, the umpire, has a long look at it - and he's given him! Good grief he took his time, and it looked to be spearing down the leg side. And it looked to be a bit high, too. 34/1
14.4 he's gone! Tharanga's rapped on the pads, Rauf takes his time - and up goes the finger. That would have hit the top of the off stump, though replays show the ball pitched outside the leg stump. A dodgy decision, again, but very well bowled by Harmison 44/2
45.1 gone! The bouncer from Harmison, Sangakkara hooks but can't control it as the ball skies to Monty Panesar at deep square leg who takes a safe catch, and celebrates like a millionaire 132/3

53.2 fantastic delivery! Silva came forward a little tentatively, pushing at it meekly, and with the extra bounce from Harmison the ball flew off a thick edge to Bell at first slip who took a simple catch 138/4
99.1 push down off the back foot towards the slips and Dilshan sets off like lightning... but Jayawardene will have to wait to see if he's made his hundred as an underarm shy from Cook could have run him out. There's a long delay in fact because it's such a tight call, and different angles are being called for. And that's out! Poor Dilshan, trying to get Jayawardene to the hundred and misses out on the chance for his own. Incidentally, Rauf wasn't square on to that, he was standing just forward of square leg 287/5
99.4 Bopara strikes! This is his first Test wicket, and it's a good one, Prasanna has troubled England this series 287/6
143.5 a third short one, Vaas tries to swing the ball over midwicket but gets a top edge ... it goes a long way up, Vaughan at midwicket moves two or three yards forward ... a moment of drama as he fumbles the catch but he snatches it with a grin at the second attempt 470/7
148.5 an ugly swipe, he misses and Collingwood hits with one that drifts into his middle and leg stumps 499/8

6.6 seaming away from Cook, fractionally short, Cook follows it and gets a thin edge, Vaas screams an appeal and it's only going one way 22/3
2.1 oh dear ... he shoulders arms to one that comes back from outside off, it thuds into his pads and the umpire will never have an easier decision that that to make ... Vaughan was back on his stumps and it was always hitting 5/1
3.3 pushed to cover, Cook starts off for a single, checks, Bell turns and dives for the non-striker's crease but Dilshan's throw is flat and true. Daryl Harper calls for the replay ...it's tight and Gnasher calls it as out ... and he's right, he's a foot short even though he was at full stretch and on his stomach as he lunged for safety 9/2
7.3 what a peach ... a snorter than cuts back from short of a length, Pietersen jerks back in a bid to get out of the line, off his feet, and Daryl Harper decides that it flicked his glove on the way through. That was as close to unplayable as you can get. 22/4
28.2 a peach. Collingwood plays back but down the wrong line, the ball finds a big gap between bat and pad and into his off stump 72/8
8.3 terrible stroke from Bopara who came forward, trying to whip it to leg on the walk but could only chip it straight to mid-on 25/5
10.3 he's bowled him! Prior was stuck on the back foot and, although it kept low and swung back a touch, he really ought to have come forward to that one. An excellent delivery on the perfect line and England sink ever further 33/6
27.6 and the doosra does for him, Sidebottom goes back and gets a thick edge into his pads and the ball loops to short leg, Daryl Harper nods as the appeal rasps round the ground and eventually lifts his finger to confirm his decision 70/7

28.6 another one bites the dust, angled across Hoggard, he nibbles and Jayawardene takes a routine catch at second slip 72/9
30.5 and a fittingly shambolic end to the innings. Harmison clipped into the leg side, set off, Panesar stood his ground and only set off when he realised that Harmison was not turning back. The throw from Welegedara was poor, Jayawardene leapt high and wide to acrobatically gather and shied at the one stump he could see and hit with Panesar still lumbering for safety. Good work from the keeper ... 81/10

93.3 he's got him! A cracking delivery which cut back into Cook, bouncing nastily on him and a thick outside edge handed Jayawardene a simple catch behind the stumps 250/6
19.6 and the breakthrough, Vaughan flashes at a ball well outside off stump and Jayawardene at second slip takes a good chest-high catch 67/1
42.1 bowled him! Not a lot he could do about that - he was on the back foot, the ball spun back sharply and shot off the pitch to knock over his off stump. Kept very low indeed, creeping under Bell's bat 128/2
64.3 and what a lazy dismissal, a half volley clipped straight to short midwicket 200/3
64.5 and it's two in three, Collingwood is completely undone by the doosra, he lurches forward, misses, overbalances, and Jayawardene completes the stumping with Collingwood stranded 200/4
64.6 madness, utter madness from the batsman but some brilliant fielding. Bopara edges along the ground to the right of Jayawardene at slip, Bopara thinks it's past him and sets off down the track, but Jayawardene picks up and fires in a return to his namesake who whips off the bail with Bopara short despite a desperate dive 200/5
