16.2 to W Jaffer, And Jaffer is gone. Full in length, outside off stump, Jaffer leans forward, a touch late in doing so, and he ends up stabbing at it, The ball moves away and carries a bit of outside edge to the 'keeper. First man down for India.. 37/1

57.4 to KD Karthik, Gotcha! Saqlain does his magic. Quickish, it landed outside the off stump and KArthik shaped to drive but the ball gripped the surface and spun back in sharply to thread the bat and pad gap and crashed into the furniture. Karthik falls after a solid 76, done in by Saqi.. 166/2
126.2 to A Kumble, Saqi takes out Kumble. It landed on a length, just outside off stump and kicked up. Kumble stabbed at it and is done in by the extra bounce. It takes the shoulder of the bat and pops up to the slip. The spinners are burying the Indians in the post-lunch session. Monty Panesar must be watching eagerly. 375/6
130.5 to VVS Laxman, Saqlain decieves Laxman with a peach of a doosra. It floated in on the off and middle, landed on a length and Laxman went forward to defend. Suddenly, much to his horror, the ball kicked up alarmingly even as it deviated away, took the shoulder of the bat and went to slip. A very good innings from Laxman comes to an end. The pitch is increasingly aiding spin. Saqi is loving it.. 388/7

70.4 to G Gambhir, And he is gone now! Charges down the track and tries to heave a full delivery over midwicket - no one in the deep- but the ball doesn't turn in much and he gets a leading edge and it balloons up for the bowler to come under it. Gambhir is a attacking player of spin bowling and he has been really held up by good bowling from Saqlain. He thought he can break free against Yardy but .... 206/3

119.4 to Yuvraj Singh, And he is gone! Yuvraj falls to spin. Rayner flights that offbreak and Yuvraj charges out to have a wild heave and is beaten in the flight. He misses it completely and is stumped. 357/4
123.4 to MS Dhoni, doosra does Dhoni in! Released with a strange grip almost like a outswinger. It drifted in on the leg stump line and Dhoni shaped to paddle it but it broke back in to rap him in front of the middle. Rayner must have learned his trade from Saqi.. 367/5

24.4 to CD Hopkinson, Done in by a swinging yorker. Fullish, on the middle line and it swings in, Hopkinson, like the previous delivery, had his front foot a touch too across and the ball swings in crash into the boot. Hopkinson has no time to clear his front foot. Lovely delivery. He was quick to latch on to the fact that the batsman was thrusting his front foot a touch too much across. 75/3

12.4 to RR Montgomerie, Sreesanth finally gets one on the line and tastes success rightaway. The seam was upright, the ball landed on a length, around off and middle and moved away. Montgomerie was fatally attracted to it and had a lame poke.. 30/1
1846013.338310010
21.6 to CD Nash, Bose takes his first wicket of the tour. Banged in short, on the off stump line and Nash went for a pull but ended up top-edging it high towards short cover. Karthik swooped in from point but nearly makes a mess of it. Mis-judges it initially but somehow manages to get a hand on to it and it bobs up to his right,. Karthik stretches his right hand out and taps the ball to his right and then, swiftly dives low to his right to take the catch. Bose had his heart in his mouth. After Karthik takes the catch, Bose is seen more relieved than happy. He puts his hand on his head as he walks towards the fielder. 66/2

33.3 to MA Thornely, cleaned up! Slightly slower in the air, lands on a length on the off stump line and goes on straight, Thornely's bat comes outside the line and the ball threads the bat and pad gap to peg back the off stump. 105/4
42.6 to MH Yardy, Removes Yardy with a googly. It landed on the off and middle line and Yardy lunged forward to stab at it but the ball broke away to brush the glove and it bobbed away to first slip. 144/5
78.5 to RSC Martin-Jenkins, Lovely bit of work from Dhoni. Kumble slided it full and and it drifted nicely down the leg side, Robin tries to whip it to the onside but loses balance and ends up dragging the back foot outside the crease. Dhoni moved swiftly to the leg side, gathered and whipped off the bails quickly. That brings an end to a gritty knock from Robin.. 269/6

2.6 to W Jaffer, Dead plumb. Jaffer has a double failure in this Test. Again caught at the crease. His problem area. It was a lovely inswinger on the middle line, full in length, Jaffer is late in leaning forward and is beaten by the inward movement. The front leg was pressed across and the bat failed to come around the pad in time.. 5/1
6.5 to MS Dhoni, Dhoni is taken out with a bouncer. Banged in short, on the off stump line and Dhoni went for a pull shot. But it climbed more than he expected and also, it was angling away from him, and he ballooned it to long leg.. 19/2
1243112.58605000
19.1 to Yuvraj Singh, Yuvraj singh is gone. He was looking good but that''s that. Strangled down the leg side. It was a length delivery on the leg stump line, Yuvraj shuffled across, exposing his leg stump, tried to glance it away and gets a thin edge. Hodd takes a smart catch.. 62/3
731321.85372000
24.5 to KD Karthik, lovely outswinger finds Karthik plumb in front. It landed on the middle and leg and curved in, beats the intended flick shot and thuds in to the front pad, right in front of the middle. Commentator's curse eh?. 76/4
28.1 to G Gambhir, Robin's patience pays in the end. Short of length, climbs up outside off stump and and Gambhir finally goes for a cut shot and sends it straight to backward point. Sussex on top here. Robin had a short squarish point, short cover point and a regular backward point. Gambhir had left everything outside off stump for some while now but couldn't resist the urge this time. The plan pays off.. 81/5

32.4 to VVS Laxman, What a bizzare way to go! Short delivery well outside the off stump and Laxman goes back to cut. He must have hoped for a boundary but it crashes into the leg of silly-point fielder(Thornely) and bobs up for Hodd to hold a dolly. Unlucky Laxman but Sussex will take it.. 104/6

38.5 to A Kumble, Given out caught at short leg. Kumble doesn't look too chuffed. drifting on the leg and middle, Kumble lunged at it, the ball evaded the defensive prod, bounds off the pad and bobs away of the left arm to short leg.. 120/7
38.6 to S Sreesanth, Again given out caught at short leg. Another bad decision. Drifting on to the leg and middle again and Sreesanth pokes at it, the ball hits the pad and pops up to short-leg. Hmm.... 120/8

2.2 to CD Nash, Hits the deck short of length, just outside the off stump line and Nash is hurried on to his pull shot and ends up swatting to mid on. 1/1
41.4 to Saqlain Mushtaq, Oh ... the fun ends. Saqlain gets out without hitting a six. It kicked up from a length, on the off stump line and Saqlain dropped his wrists and got his bat out of the way. It appears as if the ball thudded in to the elastic strap of the left glove and flew to second slip. Saqi is not happy with the decision. Did it his forearm. The replays are not conclusive . Sreesanth celebrates with a jig.. 152/8

7.2 to MH Yardy, RP Singh gets with a probing delivery just outside the off stump. It landed on a length, just outside the off stump and shapes away a touch. Yardy is sucked into a fatal poke.. 18/2
32.1 to OP Rayner, And then they were three. Nipper inswinger on the off stump line, Rayner ends up playing all around it and the off stump went for a walk.. 123/7
822613.25374010
14.4 to CD Hopkinson, Ranadeb gets his second wicket of the match. Full and swinging away, inducing a loose drive and it went off the outside edge to left of point where Gambhir dived to take a very good catch. That would give tremendous confidence to Ranadeb. He had been wayward in the first innings but here he is slowly getting in to some rhythm. He is yet to bowl it consistently at a good line though.. 46/3

25.5 to MA Thornely, cleaned him up with the one that hastened on after pitching. It landed on the middle and leg, full on a length, Thornely went back, stabbed at it but missed it completely. 96/4
27.6 to RR Montgomerie, trapped in front. It was full in length, on the middle and off, slided in - the bat came outside the line- and strikes him in front of the middle stump. 106/5
47.1 to RJ Kirtley, Plumb. And then they were one. Quickish slider on the off stump line, Kirtley is hurried by the pace, has a stab at it, the ball thuds into the flap of the back pad in front of the off stump before making contact with the bat.. 173/9
