So, a bit of a flaccid finish to what promised to be an intriguing run-chase. Much like Trinidad in yesterday's encounter, the minnows promised much, but lacked the firepower to chase down a meagre total.

Anyway, those are the warm-ups out of the way. Tomorrow, the tournament gets interesting, as Trinidad and Middlesex slug it out for a US$400,000 prize pool. On the evidence of the past two matches, it should be a closely-fought encounter. Thanks for tuning in. I've been Andrew Miller, and I'm still staggered by Andrew Strauss's dropped catch ...

19.6
Flintoff to Malan, no run

low full toss, thumped out to extra cover, and that's the end of that. Flintoff was simply too good in the final analysis

19.5
1
Flintoff to Dexter, 1 run

clipped to midwicket, and no way through there either

19.4
2
Flintoff to Dexter, 2 runs

flicked off the pads, but only boundaries will win it now

Our servers have keeled over amid the excitement, but I assure you there was no surprise finish. England have won this contest by 12 runs

19.3
1
Flintoff to Malan, 1 run

nothing doing there either. Full and straight again

19.2
Flintoff to Malan, no run

that is superb bowling at this stage of a match. He knew what was coming - a full, fast, straight delivery - but he still couldn't make anything of it

Flintoff to Dexter, 1 run

speared into the toes, and flicked to deep midwicket

Anderson to Joyce, OUT

went for the glory shot over mid-off, but couldn't quite get enough bat on it. Bell steadied himself inside the rope, and claimed one of the few comfortable chances of this match. That could be curtains for Middlesex

Anderson to Malan, 1 run

another big wind-up, but this time it's an inside-edge to fine leg

18.4
4
Anderson to Malan, FOUR runs

flogged up and over the covers! Bounces just inside the rope, but that's useful hitting

18.3
Anderson to Malan, no run

Malan steps across his stumps, and Anderson gets away with a near-wide

width outside off stump, and that's a valuable boundary, square-driven past backward point. Valiant batting, but is it too late?

18.1
Anderson to Malan, no run

full length, and no way through there. Driven back to the bowler

Andrew Flintoff 3-0-19-1

Excellent death bowling, and now the requirement is a stiff one. Still, Anderson has been known to go round the park

17.6
1
Flintoff to Malan, 1 run

right up to the bat again, and there can only be a single down to third man

17.5
Flintoff to Malan, no run

a low full toss - that was the scoring opportunity - but the shot was hurried and Collingwood at point dived to save the run

17.4
2
Flintoff to Malan, 2 runs

full and straight again, and nurdled down to third man

17.3
1
Flintoff to Joyce, 1 run

full length once again, and squirted out to deep point. Flintoff is superb at this stage of an innings because he bowls a naturally full length

17.2
1
Flintoff to Malan, 1 run

right up in the blockhole, and muscled out to extra cover

Here comes Flintoff, and this is crucial

16.6

twirled onto a good length and belted out to deep midwicket. Middlesex aren't out of this yet ...
