Right, we've had a thrilling start to this three-match ODI series which Sri Lanka lead one-nil. We now move to Hambantota for the second ODI on Wednesday, but until then, this is Ankur Dhawan, signing off on behalf of Andrew Fernando and Venkat Raghav.

Dimuth Karunaratne: Of course, winning is the ultimate thing but we made couple of mistakes that we have to learn from. Only concern that in the last ten overs we gave 90 runs, which we need to correct next game. Both me and Avishka Fernando could have converted our fifties into bigger scores but we will look to correct that in future.

Kieron Pollard: Good game of cricket, came down to the last over with the crowd on its feet. Normally guys like me and Pooran finish it off but it couldn't happen today. Couple of soft dismissals in the middle really set us back. I think we bowled too many bad balls in the start, gave them too many freebies, that's where we lost the game Our discipline was not there.

Hasaranga is the man of the match: When I went in to bat there were about 60-70 runs required but I felt if I could take the game deep, we could win. I had some pressure but I felt that if I hung in there things would get easier.

5.55pm Hasaranga, you little beauty. Holds his nerve to thwart West Indies' attempt to win their first ODI in Sri Lanka in over 14 years. The middle order's impetuousness had brought West Indies back at various points after the openers added over a 100. Full tosses, half trackers and leg side half volleys all accounted for wickets, but there was also some good pressure building from West Indies in the middle along with some excellent catching, but in the end, the young man Mickey Arthur had talked up before the game, validated the faith to take Sri Lanka across the line with an unbeaten 42.

Paul to Hasaranga, (no ball)

high full toss, Hasarangta puts it away through midwicket as Sri Lanka eke out a thrilling win, it was a no-ball anyway, so the runs off the bat won't count, but that's the highest successful chase at this ground

Paul to Sandakan, OUT
