Uttar Pradesh picked up three points from their contest against Saurashtra at the Cantonment Board Ground in Meerut. Having already set up a significant lead by stumps on day three, UP went about extending it well beyond Saurashtra's reach on the final day in the second innings. Arish Alam fell agonisingly short of a century, out for 99, added 53 with Piyush Chawla, who made a half-century in quick time. Ravindra Jadeja picked up five wickets with his left-arm spin, but UP stretched their lead to 317, and the target to 399, before declaring. In the 41 overs they faced, Saurashtra finished on 85 for 1 with opener Chirag Pathak making an unbeaten 50.
Mumbai secured the first-innings lead and took away three points against defending champions Rajasthan at the Brabourne Stadium. Read the full report here.

Group B

Tamil Nadu had to settle for a draw on a thrilling final day in Chennai against Haryana. Set a target of 146 in just 13 overs, they went for it and fell just five runs short. Dinesh Karthik made a quickfire half-century while opening, striking two fours and three sixes, but it was M Vijay who almost took them home. With six needed off three balls, Yo Mahesh was trapped in front by Sachin Rana. Vijay, who blasted 42 off 19 balls, was run out the next ball as hisattempt to gain strike failed, and the No.10 batsman Baba Aparajith could only manage a single off the final delivery, with six needed to win.
The thrilling chase was set up by Tamil Nadu's bowlers, who skittled out Haryana for 200. Mahesh led the way with six wickets and despite half-centuries from the openers Rahul Dewan and Nitin Saini, Tamil Nadu managed to give themselves a shot at victory. Unfortunately for them, only Karthik and Vijay made significant contributions with the bat. They still took away three points, having secured the first-innings lead.
A defiant hundred from Delhi captain Mithun Manas was not enough to prevent his side going down by an innings and 35 runs to Gujarat on the final day at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium in Valsad. Delhi began the day with five wickets in hand and needing another 117 to make Gujarat bat again, but while Manas gamely resisted, there was a lack of support from the other end. Manoj Chauhan, the No.9 batsman, did hang around for 48 minutes but made just 1, from 35 balls. When Manas was stumped on 103 off the bowling of Jesal Karia, the ending was in sight, and the last wicket fell less than six overs later. Karia was the pick of the bowlers, with 3 for 27 from 7.3 overs.
Baroda took just eight balls to knock off the six runs they needed to post an eight-wicket victory over Madhya Pradesh at the Moti Bagh Stadium in Vadodara.
