That is it then from me, Suneer Chowdhary, has been a pleasure bringing you this game. Will be back with the fourth ODI day after and if this was anything to go by, we can be expected to be entertained yet again.

Presentation:

Rahim: Difficult pitch, the set batsmen got out at the wrong time, we did not score big when the batsmen got set. Not only Mahmudullah, there were others who played well but we were 20 runs short. A ball each end helped us against the dew. Hope to come back stronger next game.

Sammy We all know how important it was to win this game. They were playing good cricket, but that knock by Marlon helped us clinch the game. Sunil Narine bowled well, we know the quality he possesses and he finally got a pitch that helped him and we saw how dangerous he is. Frittering away wickets after getting starts has been an issue for us, but Powell did a good job and Samuels got a match-winning century for us.

Samuels, man of the match Not worried at all about running out of partners, it was a good team effort from our side. Experience in crucial situations helps as well and that is where I was able to pull it. Bangladesh is playing wonderful cricket and we will look to step up the gear. Dedicate this century to my prime minister!

-----------

In the end, a win by four wickets and with three overs to spare seems like it was an easy victory but truth be told, the difference between the two teams was the one man, Marlon Samuels.

Samuels' century was one of the most calculated and matured knocks you would see on a track that a lot of purchase for the spinners. In fact, the Bangladeshi batsmen would do well to watch tapes of how he batted, they would learn a lot after they collapsed yet again to be restricted to only 227.

Kudos to the way Bangladesh fought as well, other teams may have thrown in the towel pretty early but the home side did not, and this is an attitude that will hold them in good stead for the rest of the series.

Mortaza to Thomas, FOUR runs

edged and four! that was outside the off stump, he went out to fiddle at it, got an edge and flies between the keeper and the slip, goes to the fence to win West Indies the game

kazim: "drop catch of samules was the turning point of this match" And probably the poor batting from the Bangladeshi middle-order?

short of length and flicked away with typically Caribbean flair to fine-leg for a single

Saad: "I didn't escape two of my neurophysiology classes today for this.... still waiting to see some miracle to happen... pls dont give up...." To be fair, Bangladesh have really fought well today, it was a matter of an excellent innings taking it away from them.

Sourav: "

after Bangladesh batting order collapse, my Facebook status was, 'we'll fight back if we get passed 220'.

yes, Tigers once again showing their ability of defending a merge total.

I love to see Enamul Hq. Jr. bowling for Bangladesh on next 2 games."

They fought well but Samuels has played a real gem

and again, fuller, faster and it goes off the bat really quickly as well, and over the long-off fence for a six! 24 off the over takes West Indies to within 10 runs of their first win this series

Rubel to Samuels, SIX runs

whoa, whoa whoa! Samuels has turned it on so well this over, it was pitched right up to the bat and slower, Samuels was waiting, he picks it up and smacks it over long-on for a six, game, set and match I would believe.

now that he has his 100, and now that the required-rate's going up, he goes for the cut, gets bit of an outside edge and rushes away to the fine third-man for a four

Ken: "These so called WI one day specialists are useless, just look at Pollard, Dwayne Smith and Simmons batting averages and you will see why I say so. Keep saying that Chanderpaul is far better ODI player than many of these mediocre non-performing players, a player called Ramaresh Sarwan would have done far better than them."

Boundary needed from somewhere

Mominul to Samuels, 1 run

just in and that is a century! driven to backward point and they are away for a single, but that is a good throw from Gazi and Rahim whips the bails away...third umpire called. Thomas was diving at the striker's end and while his bat was in when the bails came off, there is a chance that the bat was in the air at the point when the bails were removed. A very tough call one way or the other, more so given the situation of the game. Given not-out in the end to get Samuels his century.
