Presentation

Ashish Bagai says he was happy to field first and use the early-morning conditions, "We started well, but we went on to bowl both sides of the wicket. They kept getting wickets every over." He thinks 325 looked on when Taibu and Ervine were going, but his side did okay to keep them down. "We got into the shell a little bit. Disappointing," he says of the side's batting effort. "Not good enough."

Tatenta Taibu is MOM. He says: "It is always a responsibility to score runs. I told Craig we should get into the zone, but yes it was my responsibility. If you get into the zone as a batsman, it is easy to score. We were lucky we kept getting boundaries in the middle overs. Because we kept getting boundaries and singles, we thought we could get 290. I am a big fan of Price and Utseya, they are very accurate, and it is a joy keeping wicket to them."

Elton Chigumbura: "Very happy, we are still in the running for the next stage. The big game is against New Zealand. Craig and Tatenda put us back into the game, they applied themselves really well. Our bowling was fantastic. Next game is very important, that is the game where we have to put in our best performance. Against New Zealand."

Finally it's over. This was a no-contest from the time Taibu and Ervine put on in one partnership more than what Canada could get. Zimbabwe were solid, Canada hopeless. We will have captains' thoughts from the presentation in shortly

42.1
W
Cremer to Balaji Rao, OUT

bowled'im! Leggie to leggie! Through the gate. Beauty. Pitches outside off, draws the left-hand batsman into a forward defensive, then turns it between the bat and pad and takes top of off. All over at Jamtha

Balaji Rao b Cremer 1 (6b 0x4 0x6 3m) SR: 16.66
end of over 422 runs • 1 wicket

41.6
1
Lamb to Balaji Rao, 1 run

short, into the pads, pulled away for one

41.5
Lamb to Balaji Rao, no run

short and wide, hit powerfully, but straight to extra cover

41.4
Lamb to Balaji Rao, no run

another big leg-before appeal, pitches middle, but perhaps didn't straighten enough

41.3
Lamb to Balaji Rao, no run

full and fast, wide down the leg side

41.2
Lamb to Balaji Rao, no run

big appeal for lbw, straighter delivery from round the stumps, close call too, no idea why they didn't go for the review there

Russell: "Why go for the kill? Zimbabwe are in a dominant position with 10 overs to go. What a good opportunity to give the part-timers some valuable world-cup experience that might help in closer games?" Then we have two teams happy to play out 50 overs with nothing happening out there. Not very exciting, is it? Balaji Rao is the new batsman meanwhile

41.2
1W
Lamb to Surkari, 1 wide, OUT

that's No. 9. Good stumping off the wide down the leg side. Lamb saw him coming, bowled flat, middle and leg, and it turned down the leg side, a bit too sharply, but Taibu did well to collect it and then whip the bails off

Zubin Surkari st †Taibu b Lamb 26 (48b 2x4 0x6 70m) SR: 54.16
41.1
Lamb to Surkari, no run

flattish offbreak, blocked off the front foot

straight ball, defended back to him

39.4
Williams to Baidwan, no run

hit back to the bowler off the back foot

swept for one to short fine

39.1
