All-round Scorchers crush Renegades

Perth Scorchers have breathed life into the Big Bash League with an almost perfect performance at the WACA to crush the unbeaten Melbourne Renegades and keep their finals hopes on track

Match Centre

The early wickets set the Renegades back. Rohrer did try to set the ball rolling with that 24 run over off Behrendorff and his partnership with Cooper. Cooper tried to get too aggressive and paid with his wicket.

Thomas did his bit in his first spell by moving the ball well. If we discount the 24 runs of his third over, Behrendorff has had a good debut. Finch, on air, feels that his final over in the Scorchers innings turned the tide their way and refuses to blame the batsmen on what was a good batting surface

Predictably, Shaun Marsh, for his batting heroics, has been awarded with the Man of the match award.

That's it from all of us here and do join us tomorrow for the Sydney derby
