So RCB keep their home-record this season intact. Two more matches tomorrow - Mumbai, Delhi, Punjab, Pune, all will be in business. This is Devashish Fuloria signing off. Ciao ciao.

Virat Kohli: "Happy with the outcome as this was not a last-ball finish. The wicket was decent enough to bat and the bowlers made RR batsmen play shots that they shouldn't have played. I made one point to the bowlers in the meeting - you try to make your own plans, you decide what field you want to. It was a smart chase and Gayle and Tiwary played a perfect role. "

Rahul Dravid: "Lovely to come here in Bangalore, unfortunately the game didn't pan out our way, but RCB outplayed us here. It was a 150-kind of wicket and unfortunately, our middle order is not really experienced and our tail didn't add much. Shaun Tait is an impact bowler and we have to use him time and time again, especially as there was Gayle around today. But unfortunately, Gayle changed his game completely today. "

Vinay Kumar is the Man of the Match.

So this what it takes to avoid a collapse - Two big men grinding an opposition out by playing on their patience. An excellent effort from Gayle after what happened in RCB's last match here in Bangalore when they had that dramatic collapse. The bowlers set the win up for RCB, says Gayle. For Royals, it was always going to be very hard after the collapse that saw them wrap up for a paltry 117. Their good run has come to an end, but they are still in a strong position in the points table. One development that would interest RR fans (and a whole lot of people elsewhere) is that Shane Watson started bowling today and he picked up two wickets too. Guess his Ashes preparations are starting here then.

Robbie D: "Next time I am in Jamaica and i see Mr. Gayle in a club, i will look him straight in the eye and say, "dude i know you are not this selfless, come on be honest you want that purple cap and that average don't you?""

Zubin: "@RobbieD: You mean the Orange Cap !!! :)" ---- I envy your eyes man, they have survived this long after three weeks of strobe lighting..

Saurabh : "Weird victory to RCB, though. Before last six by Gayle, only one player had strike rate more than hundred percent. Extras did for RCB too. 11 wides by RR, seriously while defending a meagre total of 117. Nearly bowled out 2 more overs."

SivaP: "Guess, Gayle wouldnt sleep well if he didnt hit a six :)"

Trivedi to Gayle, SIX runs

all this while he was just playing with everyone's mind, because he can do it whenever he wants. Doesn't matter where the ball was pitched, the point is that it ended up over the sight screen

Scores level, now a big hit maybe?

Shenoy: "In my school-days my cricket coach used to tel me "Play at your strength, and not on others' weakness". Guess Gayle has also realized that he can contribute big shots at the death irrespective of the bowler which seems to be his strength. This might also explain his less aggressive instinct till now."
