That's it from me for tonight then, it was a comprehensive win for Chennai that. They get a good five days off now as they await one of Mumbai, Hyderabad or Rajasthan to join them for the final. Tomorrow, Hyderabad will go up against Rajasthan for the Eliminator with the losing team going out of the competition. Till then, I am out of here, but will be back for tomorrow's match. Till then, have a good night!

-------------------

Presentation:

Rohit: There's always a second chance, but disappointed the way we played. Dinesh and I got out at the wrong time, had a wonderful start but didn't capitalise. Not a good sign. Kolkata will be a different surface but we have had a good set of results there so hope it goes well.

Dhoni: We had a decent support last time we played in Delhi. Always good to have the support. We always tell our players that when you get a start, you need to grab it. Thought we were 10 runs short. Hussey gave us a good start but Raina gave us the edge in the middle of the innings. Sir Jadeja has declined us to tweet about him, so no more tweets about him!

Michael Hussey, Star Sports, champion of the match (which I think is the man-of-the-match): Lucky we got some fine players down the order, so I know there are some hitters down. Anything can happen in T20 on any day so I go about my business. I am sure the Australian team will be fine without me.

-------------------

Chennai make a grand entry into the final for the fifth time in six years. Mumbai, who at one time looked good to take it to their opposition chasing such a big score, capitulated after Dwayne Smith's dismissal. Hats off to the way Jadeja bowled, especially given that he's not had as many opportunities as some of the other bowlers.

Purple Cap for Bravo. Orange for Hussey. Chennai in final.

-------------------

Sai: "Wow! How many great catches from CSK'ians. I dont remember any dropped catches from CSK in this tournament (apart from what Dhoni dropped few overs before)"

Sushant: "So Chennai keeping the record of playing every IPL final to happen on Indian soil intact"

Narinder: "7 of the 11 wickets fallen today had something to do with a WI player....shows why WI are the T20 champs!"

Abhijit: "Another opportunity lost by MI to prove its strength. They crumble under pressure. Bowlers were very ordinary (why Munaf ??) and the batsmen with the exception of Smith and Pollard, never really got going. Rayudu coming down the order may not be a good idea anymore."

Karl Correa: "To summarize the match let's just say winning the toss was crucial. And Mumbai got it wrong from the start by selecting Munaf Patel. Stemming the flow of runs was perfectly executed by the better captain. Well learning from this should be Mumbai's task as they play an extra game to reach the final"

Hari: "Suresh Raina's strike rate in knock-out games is 171.6. Scoring 440 runs from 10 games with 5 half centuries. The guy really performs well under pressure."

Mohit to Ojha, OUT

and taken again, another good catch to finish things off for Chennai! was a slower one and he tries to go inside out and over the in-field, gets it away too but Bravo runs from mid-off to take the catch superbly to his right, it was a good 10 yards away too...goes for a nice, little sprint too after taking it.

Mohit to Ojha, no run

fuller outside the off stump from round the stumps, driven to the covers

Vatsan: "The Pollard dismissal reminds me of his dismissal back in 2010 when Hayden takes a smart catch in a pretty straightish mid-on! This time it's another Australian in a pretty unothrodx feilding position! Dhoni sure knows where to have the fielders for Pollard!!"

Mohit to Rayudu, OUT

slower one and that's been taken again! he had no option but to slog it away, gets a bit of a top-edge and its gone very high, a lot of players were getting close to it, in the end it was Morris who was running back, takes it, very well too

Dwayne Bravo to Johnson, OUT

short of length and that's a ripper of a catch from Raina! shorter in length and he goes for the cut, does not hit off the middle of the bat and it lobs up, for a long, long time it looked like it was getting away from Raina, who makes a sprint for it towards his right and grabs hold of it like it's his life!

edged and dropped! Dhoni's dropped a fairly straight-forward chance, he was looking to pull away a length ball and gets an edge that flies to the left of Dhoni who gets some glove on it, but sneaks through.

Bravo now has 26 wickets, same as Faulkner.

A little late to post it from Parth: "Now after dismal criticism from viewers, the Pitch turned itself into a good batting surface, hence the two sixes."
