7.20 pm KKR's reputation as deadly chasers grows. They haven't lost a chase at Eden Gardens since 2012, 13 wins in a row. Here's how the teams stand in the league. KKR firmly on top, Daredevils languishing at the bottom.

Daredevils captain Zaheer Khan: We had the platform, we could have defended 160, me pulling my hamstring didn't help. That dropped catch didn't help. Maybe we were 15 runs short. I think the timing of the drops is crucial, today's was at a wrong time, someone like Uthappa, if we got him out it could have been different. Could have defended 160. We have to regroup, quickly. We need that spark, that winning momentum, someone to have that kind of day that changes things for us. So far it hasn't happened but that does not mean it will not happen. I will be able to tell you better about my hamstring tomorrow, I didn't want to take a chance by bowling again. Let's see how it holds up in the morning.

Looking at that Mishra-Samson drop in the end .... it was Mishra's catch. He was running forwards from short fine leg, while Samson was running back from square leg. Mishra seemed to get closer to the ball too, but then the advancing Samson put him off and he pulled away from the ball. Both players at fault for sure. But only one gave the glare.

kalyan yadav: "Was waiting whole my life to watch this on cricinfo, wide ball to win the game - excited to watch what they would do with that 16.3 now" Such strange pleasures!

PRC: "DD are rock bottom, but look at that NRR! Quite amazing" It is +0.514, despite five losses in seven games. Second best in the league along with Mumbai.

Gautam Gambhir: We still have a long way to go, most boxes ticked but we can't be complacent. Once you lose momentum it's difficult to get back. But very professional performance today, to restrict them to 160 after the start they got. Because of the heat .... At one stage I was tempted to bat first but we have been chasing really well so stuck to that. every player we pick we pick with a lot of trust, and if you show trust they repay it. We can put some more effort in our fielding, save 10 or 15 runs, will be easier to chase it down.

Gautam Gambhir is the Man of the Match, he's also the highest run-scorer in the tournament now.

That's all we've got for you on the commentary for this game. Hop over to Kings XI v Sunrisers, beginning in 15 minutes. Sunrisers are batting first.

Thank you for all your emails today, cheers!

too full and straight this time though and Gambhir flicks it off the pads to the square leg boundary to level the scores

punched back to the bowler on the front foot, Rabada is a different class of bowler, look at his figures in comparison to the rest

short ball and Jackson pulls to the backward square leg boundary, KKR hurtling towards a big win that will take them two points above Mumbai and improve their net run rate as well at the top of the league

Morris to Gambhir, 1 run

he was looking to flick that ball but got an outside edge that races towards the third man boundary, Mishra does well with the sliding save

Morris to Gambhir, FOUR runs

Gambhir stays in his crease and drives a length ball on the up, using the room to free his arms though the length was a bit awkward, he places it wide of mid off and finds the boundary

Morris to Jackson, 1 run

stays back and clips the ball off his pads in front of square leg

Neel: "Huge fan of RSD and DD!!! But some of their tactics are really baffling!!! What Nair is doing in the team? Why all foreign players are of same type - e.g. fast bowling all rounders and Shami is sitting out......Why Nadeem is not picked although he looked very good in the games he played....Why Pant and Morris are not promoted up the order? They lose the games tactically and not because of lack of talent"

such a lovely drive off the back foot - stayed in his crease, let the length ball come to him, and opened the face of the back to drive through point

Samrat Ahuja: "Is it just me or Sheldon Jackson really resembles Manish Pandey a lot!!" I was nearly fooled as well.

Rabada to Pandey, OUT

middle and leg stump light up before crashing to the ground, hammered by a delivery that sped past the bat at 146kph. Pandey was caught on the crease by that full and fast ball and played a half-hearted shot. Beaten by the pace from Rabada

a loooooopy ball on leg stump, Gambhir gets on the front foot and paddle sweeps to the fine leg boundary, I haven't seen Mishra bowl one delivery that the batsmen have found uncomfortable to play today
