11.14 pm local time: Bangalore have had a shocking match. They were terrible with the bat, apart from Dravid and Kohli, and they were wayward with the ball at the start of the innings which effectively shut them out of th match. Both teams were shoddy in the field and there were umpteen boundaries conceded because of mis-fields.

Punjab started the match on a fabulous note when Sreesanth struck twice in the first over and thereafter they were well in control of the game. They have now won five matches in a row and are second in the points table, behind Rajasthan, with five wins out of seven. Bangalore have lost five out of seven and will slip to the bottom if Deccan Chargers beat Chennai Super Kings tomorrow.

The Man of the Match is Sreesanth for his 2 for 16 off four overs. Well that's it from us today at Cricinfo. Thank you for all your emails, this is George Binoy signing off. Good night.
