This is just the third ten-wicket victory in the IPL's history. And the second biggest victory in terms of balls to spare at the end. That pretty much sums it up. Only one team turned up today, and the new-look Rajasthan side was unable to reverse their fortunes. More crucially, two of their overseas replacements - Damien Martyn and Michael Lumb - looked in all kinds of trouble against the inspired home-team. Steyn, Vinay Kumar, Kallis and Praveen bowled to a plan, keeping it short of a length almost right through the innings. Yusuf Pathan and co. had no answers, and eventually fell as the pressure to score mounted. Bangalore had absolutely no trouble in chasing down the target of 93. Kallis was solid, Pandey was aggressive, and the only worry for Bangalore will be the fact that Morgan, Dravid and Boucher haven't had any significant time in the centre. Game, set and match to Bangalore.

That's it then. On behalf of Venkat Raghav and the rest of the team, this is Nitin Sundar signing off for today. Cheers!

Narwal to Kallis, 1 run

well, that's that then. Pandey will go home unsated, as Kallis works it down to fine leg for the match-winning single.

10.4
1w
Narwal to Kallis, 1 wide

Pandey will be going mad at the non-striker's end, as Narwal seems intent on denying him a chance to finish it off with a boundary. Another wide down leg.

10.3
Narwal to Kallis, no run

on offstump this time and Kallis looks to work it away to the legside, but does not succeed.

10.3
1w
Narwal to Kallis, 1 wide

slow, short and wide down the legside. Kallis looks to swat it, as he would deal with one of those moths in Ahmedabad, but can't connect.

10.2
Narwal to Kallis, no run

strange stuff. Kallis walks down again, and then looks to pull the short ball, does not connect and ends up on his knees.

10.1
Narwal to Kallis, no run

moves towards the offside and looks to whip it towards midwicket but can't make connection.

Some solace then for Rajasthan, they've stretched it past 10 overs.

Morkel to Kallis, 1 run

Kallis is in no hurry, plays it away quietly towards square for another run.

Morkel to Pandey, 1 run

looks to deposit it over deep midwicket, and just about gets it to mid on for a run. Four to win.

9.4
Morkel to Pandey, no run

there, again. Pandey decided this one had to go, but it was short, a mile away from him and swung away a bit as well. Just about pulled out of the shot in the end.

Morkel to Kallis, 1 run

pushes the length ball off the backfoot behind square for another single

9.2

Morkel to Pandey, 1 run

picks the length early, rocks back and makes room to carve it over cover and hits it well, but the sweeper suts it off.

Time-out. Time for the old fat lady to clear her throat before singing a dirge for Rajasthan today.

Luke: "I'm looking forward to Warney's tweets after this one!" Wicked stuff Luke! Even Warney's probably running out of euphemisms now. Things have not gone to plan at all.

Narwal to Pandey, SIX runs

and again! Whaddashot! Picks the short ball and pulls it fiercely over midwicket for six!

Narwal to Pandey, FOUR runs

whacko jacko! Every now and then, Pandey decides to unleash mayhem and more often than not, makes good contact. Again, nowhere near the length, but he'd decided this was going to long off come what may. It did.

8.4
Narwal to Pandey, no run

check drive from Pandey, to a length ball, towards point for no run

Narwal to Kallis, 1 run

short and gets big on Kallis who again walks down, the edge goes in the air for a while, but lands safely before reaching third man.

8.3
1w
Narwal to Kallis, 1 wide

wide down the legside. Fifth wide of the innings.

8.2
2
Narwal to Kallis, 2 runs

Kallis jumps out of the crease and looks to counter the swing, it is shorter, and he works it away for a quick couple. Good aggressive intent, but only from one team today.

Narwal to Kallis, FOUR runs

edged, and four! Drew Kallis forward with a hint of away movement, but there was no slip, and it may not have carried anyway. All the way for four.

and a super ball to finish off. Sharp spin, beats Pandey's outside edge by inches. Warney's got the leggie going well, but no variations in spin.
