End of match: Punjab are a dejected lot and especially Chawla, who cuts a forlorn figure. Rayudu pointed out to Sachin's signature on his Adidas bat - belated gift for the man.

Punjab will wonder why they lost this game. 32 needed off 12 and it was their game. Not for the first time in this edition the penultimate over is the turning point. Mumbai are at No.6 now. Punjab at 8. Here's the points table.

Peterson's audacity was the game-changer. Not taking any credit away from Rayudu. His shots were clean as well.

Post-match presentation

David Hussey: "Fantastic game, mirror image to the one in Mumbai. I think we had enough, anything can happen in T20, and anything did. The penultimate over really turned the tide. You try and bowl your best bowler in the penultimate over, Chawla bowled well earlier but they got stuck in."

Harbhajan Singh: "There were too many runs on the board, the way Rayudu batted it was great, he was exceptional, I have no doubts he will go on to play for India very soon. We needed a win to get the campaign going, great batting from Peterson as well. The way Rayudu, Peterson and Rohit batted, it was fantastic."

Ambati Rayudu is the Man of the Match: "When I went in I thought even if I took only singles in the first 8-9 balls, I could accelerate later. I'm getting a hang of playing at every position. I have to thank Sachin Sir. He helped me out a lot in the last few days when I was low."

Kings XI Punjab tweet: "Still reeling from what happened. Team is as disappointed as you all are. Now every match is a must win."

Tendulkar (speaking after picking up an award for his 100th ton) : "I've put on some weight after the 100th hundred."

Thanks for your company. There's also the game in Bangalore, but there's a rain delay. Hpping for the best. Cheers guys!

Mahmood to Rayudu, FOUR runs

Mumbai pull off a stunning win here! Rayudu makes room and Mahmood fires it full on the stumps and he crashes that past the short cover fielder who was unmoved, deep cover had no chance

Plenty in the deep

Chawla to Rayudu, SIX runs

27 off the over! What a nightmare for Chawla! Rayudu is still merciless as he chips down the track and launches him rows over long-on, it's down to 5 off 6 balls

A jolted Hussey comes over to Chawla. The bowler is well, speechless. Peterson was under-utilised with the ball and with the bat, well, he's teaching his captain a lesson

Chawla to Rayudu, SIX runs

21 runs and counting! Chawla tosses it up outside off and Rayudu takes a few paces forward and lofts crisply rows over long-off

another reverse sweep! But didn't time it well, hammered it down to cover, scampered to the crease and beat the throw

Chawla to Peterson, SIX runs

wham! What are we in for here? The conventional slog this time, tossed up on middle and leg and Peterson gets on his knee and slams that over deep midwicket

Awana to Harbhajan, OUT

Harbhajan's bad day has gotten worse, strange old shot, he stayed at the crease and played a sort of tennis forehand and the top edge went swirling down to long-off, the fielder was well in front of the rope
