Presentation

Gautam Gambhir: We always felt that it was a 140-145 wicket, but when we got 160, we thought it was an above par score. Not only about Kallis, all of them have bowled have bowled very well, lot of credit to all the bowlers including Balaji, Abdulla, Narine and others. We have four days for Balaji to recover from the injury.

Virender Sehwag: We did not bat well, 160 was chaseable, we lost two early wickets and failed to make it in the last few overs. Aaron and Yadav are bowling brilliantly, cannot sit them out, it was a tough choice but we thought that the grass might help the pace bowlers. We have another chance to get there, we cannot relax, need to go all out.

Yusuf Pathan, man-of-the-match: Always big hopes from me, not performing in the previous games, but I know that I can get going in a big match. I had a lot of time to get in and adjust myself to the track today. We are waiting for the big game, will relax and await for it eagerly.

Wasim Akram: Happy to be associated with KKR, great bunch of boys, love to stick around with each other. Long story what's changed from the first four years, but to cut it short, its all because of a very good captain and an enthusiastic owner. We read the wicket well, we played four spinners, they played only one, had they got in another spinner or two, it could have gotten lot closer. My job is to not change's bowler's action, it is to tell them about the different match situations and how to react to them.

Shank: "It's good the finals are in Chennai and not Mumbai else SRK would have to watch it on television."

Vikram: "The IPL is a good test bed for captains. Sehwag came up a cropper. Gambhir showed his mettle. I have always thought that Gambhir should be the vice captain or the test captain or both for India."

Achint: "Luckily delhi has got one more chance to fix their batting order, if they want to send venu and ojha ahead of taylor, then better not to have taylor at all in the line-up and include Merwe if pitch assists spinners or Russel otherwise"

DD Supporter: "I'd love to hear from Sehwag what his reasoning would be for some of the decisions he made today especially Venu and Negi before Taylor and Pathan, which I think costed the game for them."

11.25 pm Cue fireworks and celebrations. The Kolkata players are beaming, plenty of hugs and smiles all around. Shah Rukh Khan, the Kolkata owner, is right in the thick of things.

Kevin: "Kolkata, we will meet you again in the finals..this time without venugopala rao."

Vishwa: "Yusuf Pathan's knock made the difference."

Raj: "DD missed a trick here with Taylor. Reminds me of Mumbai Indians when they held back Pollard too late in a crucial chase." That was in the final of something, IPL or Champs League.

I'm going to call it a night. Suneer will bring you the presentation.

1
Narine to Yadav, 1 run, slightly shorter again and Umesh flat-bats it to long off. Kolkata Knight Riders have qualified for the finals of IPL 2012. It's the first time in five seasons that they have got this far.

Narine to Pathan, 1 run, Irfan pulls the hat-trick ball through square

Narine to Morkel, OUT, caught at cover! Narine's filling his bag here. Morkel goes back and slogs at a sharp offbreak, he slices it and the ball lobs to Bhatia on the edge of the circle

M Morkel c Bhatia b Narine 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Morkel is the new batsman.

W
Narine to Negi, OUT, stumped. Negi steps out and moves outside leg stump to slog wildly. Narine slowed it up, beat the left-hander in the flight, and spun the offbreak past the bat. McCullum had time to break three sets of stumps

P Negi st †McCullum b Narine 14 (11b 2x4 0x6) SR: 127.27

Narine to Pathan, FOUR, slightly short and Irfan rocks back and pulls the ball into the gap on the wide long-on boundary, a poor start for Narine

Narine has 25 to defend, I don't think he will struggle. Irfan to face.
