Time to rest my fingers, but what an incredible evening. Thanks for the company, folks. As always, you were all fantastic. I'll see you very soon. Cheers! May the thrillers continue.

Praveen Kumar: I knew the only thing that would help me in the final overs were the yorkers. Some of the boys came up to me and asked me to try the slower ball, but I thought there were chances that it could have been swung over the ropes. Those balls are 50-50 in such stages. They had a left-right combination, so the plan was to tuck Negi up and not give him any width. I didn't mind giving singles, but I didn't want to give away full tosses. The ball generally stops on the batsmen here, so upfront we had to hit our lengths early. That's what we did.

After that thrilling win, Gujarat Lions are top of the points table

Chris Morris is the Player of the Match for his 82 off 32 balls and 2-35 . "Upset we couldn't get there, but happy that I could contribute. I was quite lucky, it was one of those nights where I timed and it flew off the middle of the bat. It's been a lot of practice on my batting over the last couple of months. I asked Rahul when I came in, he said just have a go. You want to be winning tight games like that, unfortunately we were on he wrong side tonight. This was definitely one of the best T20 games I've been involved in.

Suresh Raina: I think Morris batted well. When he was batting, I thought we'd lose this game from the 15th over. PK bowled superbly, and then Bravo was outstanding. We were under pressure with the dew, but credit goes to Faulkner for giving us the breakthrough of Rishabh Pant. Tambe, I thought could have bowled two, but Morris hit in him in his first. Then I went to Smith, who was also hit. PK has been executing the yorkers well, Dhawal was equally good. Credit goes to Heath Streak for working hard with the bowlers.

Sriman Emany: "I think Overs 8, 9 and 10 when Raina and Smith bowled in tandem brought DD back into the game.. DD were all down and out, and instead of going for the kill with their regular bowlers (which GL had in plenty), then went for the part time bowlers allowing DD to batsmen to settle down.."

rohan: "that hug between morris and bravo is the best pic from today's match"

Qursheed: "If Kohli can get a MOM for his hundred on a losing cause. Morris should be given the MOM for his superb bowling and batting... "

Zaheer Khan: Great game, we can take a lot of positives. To pull it back after McCullum and Dwayne Smith went berserk was special. Great spirit shown by the boys to pull it back with both bat and ball. It was anyone's game. The way Morris was batting, we thought he will finish it. JP batted brilliantly. Despite the slow start, we came so close. That's what is special about this team. We created opportunities on the field, certain things didn't go our way. Morris bowling that one over turned the game around on the field, and with the bat, the big partnership brought us back. There are lots of positives. There's still a long way to go. We need to keep the morale high.

Rushabh: "My MOM is PK. Brilliant spell of bowling. 4-0-13-0 (mainly just for how he bowled the penultimate over)"

hippu: "Had this been chased - it would have been among the best all time chases of in T20"

11:40pm At the end of the 18th over, Daredevils needed just 18. But Suresh Raina found his heroes in Praveen Kumar and Dwayne Bravo, who executed their yorkers to perfection to steal a thriller. Chris Morris looks crest-fallen, but he's given it his all. That Daredevils were in despite a top order implosion was courtesy the Morris-Duminy stand of 87, that brought the chase into the realms of possibility. What a cliff-hanger we've had. Great to see the camaraderie between both sides. No angry gestures or celebrations from the Lions. Pure grace as Raina goes up and pats Morris for that knock. His team follows suit. The Daredevils squad has a look of disbelief, but deep down they will know it was a terrific effort to get this far.

Dwayne Bravo to Morris, 2 runs

this is full and straight into the blockhole on middle, Morris swings but can only get it as far as Jadeja, who hares in from long-on. They scoot back for the second, but it won't be enough. Phew, what a pulsating finish. Spare a thought for Chris Morris

can't get underneath the yorker, hit towards long-on. Jadeja this time attacks Morris's end, but he had given up. They had to go back for the second, the throw was full and just landed in front of Karthik, who failed to collect it cleanly. Morris had given up. Two run-out chances missed

low full toss on middle and leg, swung down to long-on, pandemonium! This wasn't meant to be more than a single, but Jadeja fired a casual throw to the keeper's end when he should have hurled it to Bravo at the non-striker's end. Both batsmen were alert to the possibility and squeezed through

slower ball, and smashed back past the bowler. Mid-off was inside the ring for this over, and he hits it there. Calculative batting this, mighty effective. Clean strikes too!

Negi at the non-striker's end. Nothing wrong with his strike rate. It's at 130. All he needs to do today is just give Morris the strike as long as he's there. There's a man at deep midwicket and long on

Dwayne Bravo to Duminy, OUT

is that the gamechanger? More importantly from Daredevils' point of view, Morris is back on strike. Back to the delivery, this was a slow off cutter which he landed at length on middle, JP looked to swing over midwicket, but the bat face turned in his hand to skew the ball up in the air, Bravo running backwards called loud and clear, and judged it to perfection. Is there a twist?
