Andhra seamer D Siva Kumar made it a career-best haul of 11 wickets as he bowled his side to an innings win over Tripura in Ongole. Tripura began on 13 for 3, needing another 146 to make Andhra bat again. They managed 151, with Siva Kumar taking 4 for 54. CV Stephen chipped in with 3 for 51 while DP Vijaykumar picked up two wickets. Tripura lasted 58.1 overs and had it not been for No. 8 Nirupam Sen Chowdhary (42), they would have struggled to go past 100 after being reduced to 47 for 6.

Assam took control in Hyderabad, forcing the hosts to follow-on. Tanmay Agarwal (68) and Akshath Reddy (41) had given Hyderabad an opening partnership of 81 but the side collapsed against spinners Swarupam Purkayastha and Syed Mohammad. Offspinner Purkayastha took 5 for 59 while left-armer Syed Mohammad picked up 3 for 73 as Hyderabad crumbled to 215. Syed Quadri (50) was the only one after the openers to make more than 20. Purkayastha struck in the last over of the day as well, sending back Agarwal in the follow-on innings.

In the 60 overs possible in Delhi, Anshul Gupta's unbeaten hundred took Services to 219 for 4 in their pursuit of the first-innings lead against Goa. Services resumed on 28 for 2 and Gupta stablilised the innings in the company of Rajat Paliwal (26). However, Gauresh Gawas sent back Paliwal and Yashpal Singh off consecutive deliveries and Services slipped to 77 for 4. Debutant Hardik Sethi came in and made an unbeaten 59, helping Gupta add 142 for the fifth wicket. Gupta faced 226 balls and hit 13 fours and a six to go to stumps on 110.

Jharkhand gave themselves a decent chance of taking the lead over Himachal Pradesh in Dharamsala. Himachal were 224 for 1 but collapsed to 304 all out, with Ashish Kumar and Shahbaz Nadeem taking four wickets each. Nadeem provided the breakthrough when he dismissed Ankit Kalsi for 80 and had Ankush Bains stumped for 129 in his next over. Paras Dogra (26) and Nikhil Gangta (23) took the score to 270 for 3 before Nadeem struck again to take out the former. Ashish ran through the lower order in quick time. Jharkhand lost Prakash Munda in the first over but Rameez Nemat and Saurabh Tiwary pushed the score to 94 for 1 by stumps.
