Jaggi, Nadeem seal innings win for Jharkhand

A round-up of the Ranji Trophy Group C matches on November 18, 2015

Jharkhand 394 for 4 dec (Jaggi 102*, Tiwary 94) beat Tripura 166 (Parvinder 66, Shukla 6-40) and 161 (Murasingh 52, Nadeem 6-50) by an innings and 67 runs
Scorecard
Shahbaz Nadeem's six-wicket haul in the second innings sealed an innings and 67-run victory for Jharkhand over Tripura in Agartala. Ajay Yadav dismissed Tripura's last man, Abhijit Sakar, early on day four Jharkhand after Tripura started the day at 132 for 9.
Tripura folded for 161 in response to Jharkhand's 394 in the first innings, which Jharkhand managed thanks to Ishank Jaggi's unbeaten 102, Saurabh Tiwary's 94 and Anand Singh's 91.
Jharkhand's Rahul Shukla was Man of the Match for his first innings performance of 6 for 40.
Services 353 (Chatterjee 156, Yashpal 51, Ravi Kiran 4-65) and 217 for 7 dec (Pathania 42*, Yashpal 41) drew with Hyderabad 272 (Reddy 125, Agarwal 50, Pathania 3-63) and 140 for 3 (Reddy 72*)
Scorecard
Services' effort to set up an outright win went in vain as their Group C game against Hyderabad petered out to a draw in Delhi. Beginning the day at 77 for 3, the overnight batsmen - Yashpal Singh and Amit Pachhara - started patiently, and the runs started flowing after Pachhara was run out.
Diwesh Pathania, batting at No. 9, provided the required impetus to set up a declaration with a 29-ball 42, an innings that featured four fours and two sixes. Services eventually declared at 217 for 7, setting Hyderabad a target of 299 in 55 overs.
Hyderabad, who have not won a match in the season, got off to an aggressive start but lost Tanmay Agarwal in the sixth over, subsequently prompting them to shut up shop. Akshath Reddy continued his form from the first innings and went on to strike an unbeaten half-century - 72 off 188 balls - before the match was drawn with Hyderabad at 140 for 3 in 43 overs. Kamal Passi picked up two wickets for Sevices as they climbed to third on the Group C points table with 20 points.
Himachal Pradesh 551 (Chopra 187, Bist 101, Unadkat 4-69) drew with Saurashtra 437 (Shah 142, Jani 56, Unadkat 54)
Scorecard
Himachal Pradesh moved to second place on the points table after picking up the four wickets they needed on the fourth day to claim first-innings points against table-toppers Saurashtra in their match in Rajkot. Saurashtra needed 291 runs at the start of the last day with only four wickets in hand, including captain Jaydev Shah who was unbeaten on 96.
Jaydev, along with Saurya Sanandiya added 52 of those before Akshay Chauhan had Sanandiya caught for 30. Jaydev moved to 142 but when he fell with the score at 362 for 8, Saurashtra's uphill task was made that much more difficult. Jaydev Unadkat made a 143-ball 54 at No. 9 and also formed a 61-run partnership with Kamlesh Makvana but Saurashtra were eventually bowled out for 437. Akash Vasisht picked up figures of 3 for 101.
