Division One

Somerset and Nottinghamshire were forced to settle for a draw after rain ended the final day following 8.1 overs in the morning session at Taunton. Andrew Caddick removed nightwatchman Andre Adams for 20, but with Samit Patel and Adam Voges at the crease Nottinghamshire would have been confident of chasing down the remaining 87 runs. However, the weather soon closed in and although the teams hung around until 4.45pm there was never a real chance of getting back out. Nottinghamshire, though, remain top of the table by one point from Durham.
Rain condemned Lancashire's match against Sussex to a damp draw at Old Trafford, but Sussex will probably feel the most robbed as they needed a further 162 for victory with 10 wickets in hand.

Division Two

Gloucestershire were denied the chance of their first Championship victory for nearly year with no play on the final day against Leicestershire at Cheltenham. Gloucestershire's day got worse when they were docked two points for a slow over-rate.
No play was possible on the fourth and final day at at New Road, Worcestershire drawing with Derbyshire, who been set a tough 404 for victory and reached 36 without loss on the fourth evening.
Rain also ruled out the chance of a result at Colwyn Bay between Middlesex and Glamorgan.
3rd day
And a complete washout in the second division was confirmed with no play possible between Northamptonshire and Warwickshire at Edgbaston, although they still have a day remaining to try and force a result. However, it will need some agreement between captains with Warwickshire 120 for 3 in reply to Northamptonshire's 407 for 8 declared.
