That bring us to the end of our coverage today. Couldn't have asked for a more thrilling contest, could we? Nepal fought tooth and nail. Surely they can only get better from here. Lots of post-match features and news round up coming up. There will also be plenty of build up to tomorrow's quarterfinal fixture between India and Namibia. Do join us tomorrow. Until next time, it's goodbye from all of us here at the commentary desk

Presentation:

Mehedi Hasan is the Man of the Match for his unbeaten half-century. "Really happy, credit to Zakir for coming up with an excellent knock. The plan was to play for the singles and rotate strike, and it worked. The wicket was largely good, but a few balls turned as well. This win is great for the country."

Raju Rijal: "We lost a clutch of wickets after 25 overs, which resulted in us losing 25-30 runs with the bat."

Have to admit it was a little strange to not see Aarif Shaikh bowl another spell after conceding just nine runs in his first five overs. Not too sure if he was injured. Didn't look that way, but we will soon find out at the post-match press conference. Nepal's spinners did well, but the lack of experience, especially as the game got tensed towards the end, showed.

This is the first time Bangladesh are into the semifinals of a world event. What a result for the host nation. This wasn't the perfect game by any means, but the manner in which the fifth wicket pair held their composure even as the asking rate mounted has to be applauded. Mehedi Hasan, the captain, deserves plenty of credit for the calmness he brought to the fore, but you have to also feel for Nepal, who gave it their all. They can be proud of their effort. This wasn't one way traffic by any means. Had the stumping chance been taken when Mehedi Hasan was on 25, it could have been a different story. Nepal also perhaps let themselves down with the bat when a target of 240 looked a realistic possibility when Raju Rijal was batting. Towards the end, as the target was within striking distance, Zakir Hasan found his hitting range. Some clean hitting and tactful running helping Bangladesh prevail by six wickets.

lofted over the ropes. Let the celebrations begin. This one was too full again, he went through the line with a straight bat, got enough bat on it for it to carry all the way. The support staff and the other team members run into the field like it's a 100-metre dash

he wants to finish this off quickly. Makes room and lofts that full delivery into the gap between deep midwicket and long on. Super timing. Found his arc to perfection

Raju Rijal misses another stumping. Not sure it would have made a big difference though. Steps out to drive, deceived in flight, keeper grabs at the ball even as the batsman was miles out, bobbles out.

excellent stroke. Steps out, didn't get to the pitch but lofted it up and over the line, pierced the gap to perfection. Nothing wrong with the delivery but the shot selection was immaculate

One more fielder brought into the ring. Keeper and bowler in deep conversation. Long-off is going back now. The bowler's view has prevailed
