This was really an innings of three parts. South Africa dominated the early going, India then pulled it back and had it all in control until the 40th over, before South Africa again pinched vital late runs courtesy their captain Dave van Niekerk, and to a lesser extent, Chloe Tryon. India refused to give anything away for the majority, but equal credit to South Africa for being able to calpitalise on the rare loose offerings. India have done reasonably well with the ball, but they need to do a lot better with the bat, for they are left to pull off their highest chase ever, and the third most successful of all time. It's a flat pitch, but a tough ask nonetheless. We should be in for a cracker of a chase. Be back in 30.

The highest target successfully chased in Women's ODIs is 289. Not good signs for India, whose best chase is 245 against South Africa, achieved earlier this year, while being nine down.

"I think it was just one of those days when everything worked for me and everything came off the middle of the bat," says Lizelle Lee. "If it's in my area, it's got to go, I'm not going to play a different game. It depends on the conditions, I think today was more of a batting pitch than we thought so. I just play my own game, and when I do that, it normally comes off well for me. Dane played a captain's knock, she does it when you need it. I think 270 can definitely be defended."

Niraj : "It's Poor captaincy when your two highest wicket-takers haven't got their quota of 10 overs in , in the match today . If someone's had a bad day then point being conventional and pursuing with the ones struggling "

Bisht to Khaka, 3 runs, great effort from Poonam Yadav at third man. Khaka advanced down the ground and swung for the fences, got an outside edge for her troubles and the ball races away to third man. Yadav is in hot pursuit, manages to put across a full-length dive and pull it just back. Marvellous effort, but she seems to have slightly done her shoulder, walks off clutching it
