Commentary

Well, we should know by now that Scotland never make it easy again, but those 19 wides bowled by Afghanistan have cost them dear. A flurry of late wickets gave Afghanistan hope of a miracle but Goudie came in at number 10 to hit the winning runs.

Fraser Watts started the innings patiently and stuck about while the run rate lingered between 2-3 runs per over. There were two wickets a piece for Zadran, Nabi, Hassan and Mangal but eventual the Scots saw it home to claim a place in the final against Ireland tomorrow, who go unbeaten after beating the Netherlands by 39 runs.

The Scots are delighted and rightly so. They made hard work of it as usual and staggered over the line.

The man of the match has been awarded to Fraser Watts for his patient opening innings of 46 of 98 balls on a bowler-friendly track.

The Scots are now celebrating with a pint and singing O' Flower of Scotland at top volume in the dressing room, while for Afghanistan, their World Cricket League dream is over.

Thanks very much for joining us today for this match in Rotterdam between Scotland and Afghanistan where Scotland triumphed by the margin of two wickets. Do join us tomorrow for the play-off matches where the centrepiece will be the final between Scotland and Ireland at Amstelveen for the title of World Cricket League champions. (11.00am local, 9.00am GMT)

I will be there bringing you ball-by-ball commentary live from the ground, but for now it's Callum Stewart signing off from a sunny Rotterdam. Good afternoon.
