A game that ebbed and flowed and went one way and then the other, Bangladesh came back strongly after losing their way in their innings to post a challenging 240. Post-lunch rain meant the Afghans' target was 220 in 42 overs and even though they made things a little interesting in losing some wickets near the end, their top-order had done enough and the game was ended in fitting style with a six by Najibullah. Bangladesh outfought in the end, really, man for man Afghanistan really wanted this victory more. They now play Pakistan in the semi-final on Thursday with India playing Sri Lanka on Friday,
