As Jodie Fields finishes the interview, she struggles to hold tears back. Congratulations to her and her side. You can't keep Australia off that podium, be it men or women. Hard luck England. They have been superb throughout the year and this tournament. Thanks for joining us. This is Sidharth Monga signing off. Do come back for the men's final too. Cheers

Quotes from presentation

"I am very proud of them," says Charlotte Edwards. "Last 18 months we have worked towards this. It didn't go our way, but congratulations to Australia. We didn't do well up front, and just couldn't pin them. I wouldn't change the decision to bowl first. Our bowling is good, the wicket is still good. It still came down to six off the last ball. It wasn't to be a fairy tale, but hope we have done the country proud."

"The knee is okay," says Jess Cameron, the Player of the Match. "I didn't give enough credit to Charlotte and how hard she can hit the ball. She got me right on the knee, but I am fine now. I think we did really well with the boundaries. Maybe I am bulking up or just the bat I use [explaining her six-hitting]. We were loving it [towards the end]."

"This is no consolation," says Charlotte Edwards, the Player of the Tournament. "I'd much rather be lifting the other cup. The youngsters in the team keep me young, so I keep trying to get better. I didn't come in with a lot of runs, so it is nice to have contributed with the bat. This body is going to keep going. I have huge hunger for the game."

"So proud of this team," says Jodie Fields. "I love this jersey, I love playing with the girls. Such a good feeling. Whenever you put this jersey on, you have to fight hard. England played a really good match, but we had the belief in our team. Just an all-round performance. Always had the belief (towards the end). Just to be standing here is awesome. All the hard work has been worth it."

While Australia celebrate, spare a thought for England. This is only the second game they have lost all year, but it happens to be the World Cup final

Healy: "We took a lot of belief from the semi-final. That we can defend any total. We were ready to bat first. To be perfectly honest, this win is sweeter [than the previous WT20 title]"

Osborne, who bowled the last over: "That was the most nervous moment of my life. I was hoping to get mine in a little earlier... [and wham, her team-mates pour energy drink over her]..." She has to go and celebrate, and we won't know what her plan for the last over was. Thanks, other ladies

Alex Blackwell: "The two best teams were out here today. What a magnificent final. Our girls did a great job to hold their nerves. Just, but still. Again down to the last ball. What a final. Thrilled for Jodie. Oh I had that (low) catch, bit I still don't know I dropped the other one."

So Australia have defended successfully, both the total and the title. Joyous scenes out there. They are all in a huddle by the stumps. The whole squad is out there, but no coaching staff, no media manager, no outsiders. Just the team in the celebratory huddle. England are a disappointed side, but can hold their heads high. Tears of joy for Jodie Fields. She missed the last WT20 with injury, but has come back to captain them to the title

Osborne to Hazell, 1 run, We have a Chetan Sharma but no Miandad. She gets a full toss on the pads, but she charges at it, gets too close to it, and can't get any elevation on that shot to leg

Six to win. Is there a Javed Miandad somewhere?

Osborne to Hazell, 1 run, OUT, crashed down to long-off, they try the impossible second to keep Hazeel on strike. Colvin has sacrificed for the cause

Seven off two. Six for a tie. What a final

2
Osborne to Hazell, 2 runs, through Jonassen at extra cover here. She has had a nervous over. That costs them two more runs. This game is not over
19.3
2
Osborne to Hazell, 2 runs, thick edge, but there is no pace on this to go for four. Jess Cameron, who has a hurt knee, gives great chase, and keeps them down to two
19.2
1
Osborne to Colvin, 1 run, Jonassen has dropped one. Why has Blackwell been removed from extra cover? This was a sitter. Not only is the wicket missed, but a single considered

3nb
Osborne to Colvin, (no ball) 2 runs, that's a chest-high no-ball. What has Osborne done? Pulled away wide of deep midwicket. That's three without a ball bowled
