Zaidi and bowlers strangle Dhaka

Comilla Victorians 141 for 7 (Zaidi 45, Farhad 2-26) beat Dhaka Dynamites 131 for 6 (Nasir 32, Hider 2-30) by 10 runs
Scorecard and ball-by-ball details
Ashar Zaidi batted Comilla Victorians out of trouble and the bowlers, led by Abu Haider, brought their A-games to subdue Dhaka Dynamites. Dhaka looked set to chase down 142 but were strangled and thrown off course as they slipped to their second loss in less than 24 hours.
Two of Dhaka's top three, including Kumar Sangakkara, fell to run outs, after they were asked to bat. Shykat Ali was caught short while attempting a second run, Shoaib Malik nailing a direct hit in the fourth over. Sangakkara made 30 off 27 balls, including four fours, before he was left stunned by Liton Das' sharp reflexes. He leapt out of his crouch, picked the ball up in one motion and then threw the stumps down. In between, Shadman Islam was bowled by Shuvagata Hom for 10.
Nasir Hossain and Ryan ten Doeschate then kept the scorecard ticking. The 28-run partnership, however, ended when Mashrafe Mortaza ran from mid-off towards extra cover to complete a superb catch to remove Nasir. Mashrafe picked up a strain while taking the catch but recovered sufficiently to take the ball next over and dismiss ten Doeschate for 11.
With 37 needed from the last three overs, Malcolm Waller struck two fours off Nuwan Kulasekara but fell in the next over to an Abu Hider's full toss. Abul Hasan then collected a four, nutmegging square leg, and followed it with a couple of singles to bring the target to 17 off the last over.
Kulasekara gave only three runs off the first two balls before Hasan missed the next ball. Kulasekara then gave one more single and fired a yorker off the fifth ball. The final ball was also full and accurate as Comilla won by 10 runs.
The victory, though, was set up by Zaidi, who struck an unbeaten 45 off 29 balls after a poor start. He drilled two fours and three sixes as Comilla took 47 off the last three overs. Zaidi finished the innings with a stunning blow: a bludgeon over square leg. His first six off Mustafizur Rahman was equally impressive.
Zaidi was assisted well by Shuvagata, who made 21 off 11 balls, even as the likes of Ahmed Shehzad, Imrul Kayes, Malik, and Mashrafe exited for single-digit scores. When Alok Kapali was undone in the 17th over, Comilla had slumped to 88 for 6. But vital contributions from Liton Das at the top and Zaidi at the death pushed Comilla to a match-winning total.
