A 47-ball 88 by Daryl Mitchell helped Northern Districts set up a 31-run win against Central Districts at Seddon Park. Mitchell's knock and a half-century by Daniel Harris helped Northern Districts to 200 before a three-wicket haul by Daniel Vettori strengthened their hold on the match.

ND, after opting to bat first, got off to a poor start, losing their first three wickets for 19 runs. Harris and Mitchell then added a quick 80 for the fourth wicket before Harris was bowled for 61, off 34 balls with four fours and four sixes. Vettori then joined Mitchell for the most destructive stand of the innings, that of 101 off just 6.4 overs. Mitchell's knock included six fours and six sixes while Vettori's unbeaten 32 came off only 15 balls.

Vettori derailed CD's chase at the start with two wickets in his opening over, leaving them at 9 for 2. Carl Cachopa and Kruger van Wyk resisted with fifties but it wasn't enough as CD finished on 169 for 7.
