Bangalore Provident (Rural) brushed aside Malnad Gladiators at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Seamers Neravanda Aiyappa and Abhishek Jagan grabbed two wickets each and were backed-up by legspinner Rahul Bhatkal in Malnad's capitulation. Tottering at 27 for 5 at one stage, Malnad were helped by lower-order batsmen Sanjay Kumar and K Gowtham, who, with contributions of 36 and 27 respectively, took their team past three-figures. Malnad were bowled out for 102, a total Bangalore overhauled with ease. Aniruddha Joshi top scored with 34 and the target was reached in 16.3 overs.
Heavy rain in Bangalore led to the early termination of the contest between Shamanoor Davangere Diamonds and Bangalore Brigadiers (Urban). Davangere were in a spot of bother at 45 for 3 in nine overs before rain intervened.
